If your team needs one win to make the play-offs, a loss means no play-offs, which of these teams would you rather your team face?

toss up b/w nets and miami. even though both teams have guys that can turn it on and be unstoppable (Wade, Harris, VC) there's nothing else behind them. Sure you got beasley, marion, mario in miami and Yi, Lopez in NJ but the benches are not that strong, full of young guys or washed up players (bobby simmons, jamal magloire). Both are in the rebuilding process and can still make the playoffs but I don't see either them making much noise in the playoffs.

Miami Heat, Nets, then suns

Nets, just shut down either VC or Devin and they are basically toast. Other starters and bench are not that strong.

Nets. None are bad teams, I'm just less scared of VC and Harris beating me than I am of Wade torching us. especially if the situation was if whoever won went to the playoffs and the loser didn't.

You don't wanna go against the Heat. D-Wade would just put the team on his back and carry them.

The Heat.

Heat. Other than Dwade, they really don't have much other options. Plus they are undersized in their front court, so it would be easy to exploit that.

No he wouldn't. Just double team him and keep him out of the paint.

I would rather face the Nets than the Heat imo. Cuz of Wade. On any given game he could just take over.

great point. Lets isolate one instance and use it as a base for an argument as to why dwade can't carry a team.

Wade has shown time and again, he can and does carry his team, the higher the stakes the better he plays.

If on the Road we would stand the best chance against Miami.

I think anyone has a better shot a against the Suns. They have no chemistry, no direction and two whiners (Shaq and Amare)

If I was most teams in the NBA i'd prefer to play the Nets, which is why I voted for them.

However, I'm a Raptors fan..... I'd love to play the Nets too, but I'm sure VC would burn us again.

I voted MIA because their center for a while was Udonis, however I retract that and would like to go with the nets. Harris and VC combined can equal the threat level of Dwade, but they dont have a strong front court presence either. Plus outside of harris and vc, the nets really hae no other LEGIT threats. MIA has Wade, Marion can still fill up the stats, beasley and chalmers are improving regularly, and Udon has always ben solid

Are you saying it can't be done?

A good defensive team should be able to do that.

This question also depends on what type of team you have. Like are you a defensive team, offensive team, etc.

Are you saying it can't be done?

Who can do it regularly??? Besides Its FAR easier said than done. You can always know HOW to stop a player, it doesnt mean that you can actually stop it. Bird, MJ, all the greats would tell players what they would do all the time, but did that stop them from doing EXACTLY what they said?

The Nets by far from that list. The Nuggets play no defense but they can score loads of points. I think the Nets are a team of the future and are mediocre at best.

the key word is should...thats all theory. doesnt mean that they actually can, and certainly not on a regular basis

SUns or Nets. HEAT are Improving every game. plus we will probaly get ZO back and James Jones has not seen the court this year.

You dont think Zo will retire soon? I mean why be on a rebuilding team at this point? He already was pivitol to the 06 ring

LOL
Hayes,
Lopez, Boone(whoever is on the bench in that point in time)
Dooling
CDR
Anderson

pretty solid bench, very underrated..

As for the team I picked Miami since they were the worst team on the list

What if Wade has a bad game? Don't kid yourself, Miami's not a good team by any stretch of the imagination.

And it's not easy to put your team on your shoulders and carry them. If that was so easy, then Kobe Bryant would have 8 rings by now.

bad games happen..thats why i said regularly. when it comes to a series, its extremely rare to be able to shut down at legit star. Miami isnt a GOOD team, but they are decent. Bealsey, marion, chalmers, haslem are all very serviceable. even quinn can be productive. regardless, its easier to shut down every other player and just let a star go loose...then again, wade kills you there too(06).

this is pointless tho. its like saying ALL you have to do is stay in front of Rose and he wont score...when a guy is that quick and skilled, its never that simple

I'll take the heat, Denver blows my team out by like 39 points and New Jersey comes back from 17 point defecit to beat us in OT. We havn't played phoenix, san antonio or portland this year but I think my raps can beat the heat 9 times out of 10
