The only number retired for the Heat is 23 for MJ

I am thinking that in the somewhat near future we will retire 41 for Glen Rice and 33 for Zo

?? why MJ ?? I know on wikipedia it says for "contributions" but what exactly did he do for the heat? contribute to them getting a better draft pick by beating them??

Why don't the Heat have Tim Hardaway's #10 retired?

Pat Riley retired the Jersey in honor of Jordan's Greatness. That's awesome.

"In honor of your greatness and for all you've done for the game of basketball - and not just the NBA, but for all the fans around the world - we want to honor you tonight and hang your jersey, No. 23, from the rafters," Riley said at midcourt. "No one will ever wear No. 23 for the Miami Heat. You're the best." - Riley

Why don't the Heat have Tim Hardaway's #10 retired?

They may choose to do that in the future, I know that he is still a big Heat fan and attends most home games.. it is a bit strange that we haven't retired any actual Heat players, but we've only been a franchise for like 21 years now.

The only lock to have his jersey retired is Zo.

Don't forget about Wilt, #13.

I don't know about retiring 21, he was more of a role player. I love him, but I don't think we should retire 21. You're right on about #99 though. I can't understand why that's not retired.

Well Cooper was a reserve for most of his career but he never wore another Shirt than the Lakers one, won the 5 rings and was KEY to at least 2 of them with his top notch defense there are far worse career players with their number retired at Boston.

He is still related to the laker family nowdays.

Boston retires loads more jerseys than the Lakers do though, the Lakers limit it to the absolute best of the best. Which is the way it should be, IMO.

My team's Miami. The Heat have only retired Jordan's 23. In the future, Wade and Alonzo are sure to have their numbers retired. They might retire Tim Hardaway's. They went to the ECF with him and were a victim of that Bulls team. He also had a lotta individual success while in Miami. Shaq won't have his jersey retired. Dude doesn't have the longevity and didn't win the title as the 1st option.
