If he wins another title with the C's then he should go in as a Celtic. Don't the players have a say though?

He will have played a lot more seasons with the T-Wolves. And he's the greatest player in their team's history if that counts for anything.

You don't "go in" as anything other than yourself to my knowledge....that is a baseball thing where you pick what hat you wear....

T-wolves, but he'll be retired by both teams.

I think he will be remembered mostly for being a Celtic if the scenario you describe actually happens. 2 Championships > 0 Championships.

Wolves, that's where he played the majority of his career and made a name for himself.

Wolves for the numerous statements already pointed out such as the longevity of his career there and what have you. It's like Malone retiring known as a Laker instead of a Jazz.

It'd be a little different than Malone because the mailman went to the Finals multiple times in Utah whereas KG never went with the Wolves

Wolves, no doubt about it.

Why has no one commented on this? I'm pretty sure that he is right

I think the better question will be how would Shaq go in??? (saying that a player goes in as part of a "team", much to the credit of DreamShaker)...

Magic? the first "superstar" in that uni...
Laker? handful of titles... made them valid again
Magic? he made that franchise again, and put D-Wade on the map...
Suns? ...... well, he looks good in purple!

You're right on this one, here are the links to how players are listed in the Basketball HOF and the Baseball HOF.

Clearly baseball lists the player's primary team alongside their name. In basketball that isn't the case.

I guess this is a non-issue.

Wolves. He gave that franchise credibility where it never had it before.

If any of you have ever been to the Basketball H.O.F. in Springfield, MA you would know that players don't go in as a member of a specific team. You go in as a player, and although the teams that you played for are mentioned, you don't wear a specific team's jersey in your picture. If he were to go in with a specific team however, it would undoubtedly be with the Wolves. That's coming from a Celtics fan too. He made a name for himself with the Wolves, so it doesn't matter how many championships he wins with the Celts.

Even if he doesn't win another championship with the C's but retires a Celtic, winning the Championship alone should make his decision that much more easier - it's with the Celtics no question.

Forget 2 championships, 1 championship is enough but he will get 1-2 more before his career is over in Boston. We're just that damn good and theres nothing anyone can do about it.

KG will go into the hall of fame as a Celtic. Think of the tradition. He brought title 17 to the Bean baby. That can never be replaced, especially by a horrible Twolve franchise that did nothing but hold KG down his entire career. They never gave any effort to get him some real help just like the Cavs are doing to Lebron now

In closing KG will go in as Celtic and will be remembered as one of the greatest Celtics ever

T-wolves, but he'll be retired by both teams.

This is his second season in Boston, so I won't say that they will retire his # just yet.

He will go into the HOF as a T-Wolve.

let's see... go into the Basketball Hall of Fame with a sorry expansion team or a team rich in basketball tradition and dominance... HMMMMM... KG has a lot to think about, NOT

He better go in as a Celtic cause he quit on that franchise in order to go to Boston. Him and Allen should go in as Celtics cause they were both quitters. Thats why I have a ton of respect for Paul Pierce. He stayed even threw the bad.

He's a wolf and he will ALWAYS be a Wolf. Remember when he won his title he was saying, this is for Minny. He is a wolf and thats the end of this.

With that reasoning, you're telling me that Gary Payton will be remembered mostly as a member of the Heat more than a Sonic?
