A pretty simple idea here. Find an interesting quote about the Bruins and post it here. I'll start us off.

“They’ve got a scary combination,” Guerin said Friday after the Bruins beat the Islanders in Boston. “They’ve got size and talent. A lot of their big guys have real good talent, too, to go along with it. You don’t see that a lot.

“They’ve got a lot of tough players to play against. Everybody on their team does something.”

"They are a great story," former Tampa Bay Lightning GM Jay Feaster told ESPN.com. "What I think is really great is the fact that this collection of players and coaches has once again made hockey relevant in Boston. And given the level of sports competition in that market, that, in and of itself, is no small accomplishment."

“They’ve got a lot of pieces on their team. They have a chance to be successful,” Red Wings coach Mike Babcock said after his team was thumped by the B’s at TD Banknorth Garden.

Again, Yahoo! Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news;_ylt=AtwXUrHSusnwisCn2Pt2k9o72bYF?slug=teamre ports-2008-nhl-bos&prov=sportsxchange&type=team_report)

I had to add that "thumping" to the end of the quote...

"We were overmatched. We would have needed everything to go right and we didn't get it," Panthers coach Peter DeBoer said. "They took advantage of our roster and dismantled us fairly easily. We could have been out there for three days and still not scored."

I'm keeping this thread alive!

“It’s nice to get away with one,” Lucic said. “I guess you could say we did just enough to get tonight’s win, but when you’re on a streak like this, you should never be satisfied with what you’ve done. You always want to push to be better and better. Hopefully, this is a wakeup call to us.”

"Maybe. It does matter. It shouldn't," Wideman said of a possible letdown. "That's something that shouldn't happen. You look at the elite teams like Detroit, when they get leads like that they keep coming at you."

They know they let down which is good...so lets see what happens next time they get a big lead.

Washington coach Bruce Boudreau, talking about the Bruins before his team faced—and beat—Boston on Wednesday night, said Boston’s big start is hardly a shock to him.

“I didn’t think they were going to be middle-of-the-pack,” Boudreau said. “Other than the 10-1 game (Washington’s 10-2 win over Boston), I thought they were the toughest team to play in the whole league last year.

“You knew (Milan) Lucic was getting better, and they didn’t have (Patrice) Bergeron—we knew he was going to be coming (back). I think (Zdeno) Chara’s the best defenseman we play against every year. I really like (Tim) Thomas as a goalie …”

"There were growing pains for me my rookie year," Kessel said recently. "This year, it's clicking a little more. I think part of it has to do with my linemates, setting me up in good spots."

After being names the NHL's star of the week.

Blake Wheeler about his amazing goal in St. Louis:

“I initially was looking to make a pass back to Krejci,” Wheeler said. “He kind of abandoned me. He went off for a change and the only thing I could do was react. There was a guy coming at me and I just kind of reacted. I got lucky.”
