He's retired ATM, and if he does comeback, he's already stated its with one team and one team only, the Rockets.

And that is pretty much the only way IMO the Rockets have a chance to win it all. They need his shot blocking and they need a backup for Yao.

While they do need a backup do Yao, I don't think Mutumbo pushes them over the edge for a championship.

Mutombo lets everyone score off offensive rebounds (he's too busy finger waggin' the crowd)

He would be a good backup at center when Yao is on the bench. They would very much need his presence if they're going against the big guys in L.A., Portland and Phoenix

Yeah I heard that as well. It's a shame, I really wanted him in LA to back up Bynum.

I miss watching him play. The guy is still solid, and used to be great. Not to mention, he donates about half of his money to Africa. Real class act

I think Greg Oden is Bill Russell in disguise with his hair dyed.

Hahah that just gave me the craziest scene in my head:

Rockets game 7 of the Finals, Mutombo blocks KG, checks out the crowd and starts finger waving while KG rebounds the ball and puts it in. :D

he was real effective for them last season when yao was out, they were a completely different defensive team when he was on the floor but because of his age he wasnt able to play alot of minutes but coming off the bench and playing a quarter while getting a block or two and changing shots would help them alot
