I think the Clippers became the better team, but I think I like the moves the most for NY.

I actually think the Knicks made out like bandits. Now they have the rest of this season and next to clear up as much cap-space as possible to make their 2010 run. If I'm the Knicks, I'm getting excited about LeBron James & Chris Bosh teaming up together in New York.

I think the Knicks won today's deals. That team is going to be a team to watch in a couple years.

The warriors got the best deal, although they're extremely stacked at the guard position now.

Knicks By far. Seriously, they have all but Jarard Jefries 6 MIl coming off in the next 2 years. Im going to say they are set for a few Big names coming in.

Warriors - they got rid of a player that wanted to get out in AL and received a player they needed in crawford to play the point till Ellis returns ffrom injuries. Knicks just traded players away to free up money for 2010. The player they traded for come off the books by then unless they resign em... Clips.. I'll give them one thing... They now have a huge front line...

Lets see. there is a some $60 You can spend on realy good players. All they have left on contract is 6. so that means they have nearly 54 MIL to spend on anyone they want. Hello Lebron. Hello Amare. Hello some other role players you got yourself a team.

Fair deals all the way around...Good for the knicks if and only if they land a big name in 2010...thats if. Im sure they can land a d wade or a bosh...but i dont think it will be lebron.

"It's not every day that one team can dump someone they have no intention of playing in exchange for a 20-point scorer. "

The Warriors came out looking strong.

How are they gonna get Lebron and Bosh when there current team will ofeer them the max which is more than any other team can offer cause of the Larry Bird exception and the fact that both of there team will be under the cap and can do the same thing NY will be trying.

The Knicks can (and will IMO) get Prince James. Along with that they can get one of his buddies in either Bosh, Wade, or Amare. I think Dirk will be a FA that year as well, but I would take a pass on him for the rest of them. I would want Amare most to go with the Prince.

warriors seem to get smaller and smaller.

they now have 4 high-scoring guards, in Monta Ellis, Jamal Crawford, Corey Maggette, and Stephen Jackson.

Great deal for the Knicks who freed up tons of cap space, and I'm guessing will do more in the future as well.

i think this means the clips are gonna deal kaman since they just got camby and randolph. most likely this means kaman is going to miami

What are you guys thinking? There's no way they can get Lebron AND Bosh. Or any other combination of TWO big name players. Even with $54 mil, Bosh and James will get $20 each. That's 40 right there with what 5 players on the roster? So they are left with 14mil for 8 more players?

The max they can still do is get Lebron and find some decent role players with the other 34 mil. Like players who'd take 8-10 mil/yr or less.

Right?

i think the knicks win. even if they dont get lebron, theres many other superstars, and im sure they can get two if not three

but i think lebron is going to ny because who can resist a big city and loads of $$$$? with other superstars on their way?!?!

just like that one guy said - if youre an [music] artist where do you want do perform, a cleveland stadium, or madison square garden?

I like the moves the Knicks made. It shows they don't care about winning at all and its all about salary cap. Why does this make me happy you ask? Because the Jazz get the Knicks 2010 first round draft pick

Right?

they can sign 2 big guys. theyd have 14 mil left. then sign a good role player or 3 and they are at the cap. they can offer min contracts to players even if they are over the cap

I say it would be very foolish of Curry to opt out of his existing deal, since it is unlikely anyone else will pay him $11 to $12 million per season as things stand now. Maybe New York can deal him for an expiring in the next year or two though ...

Also, Jeffries is under contract [ with an option ] for 2010-2011 as well and I do not see him leaving for less green pastures either. So, that means the Knicks' payroll as of Summer, 2010 is probably gonna be at least $22 million [ two lottery draft picks plus Gallinari, Chandler, and Jeffries ] and perhaps as high as $33+ million if Curry is still there then. The result will be that the team has a near-term future with $30 to $40 million in Cap space available with little doubt, but $50+ million -- or even close to that figure -- is just not likely to be happening any time soon ...
