good moves for the future, not sure how many ppl want to wait through 2 additional years of bottom dwelling.

Imagine if Curry and Marbury came back playing their best games? Losing Crawford and Randolph wouldn't seem so bad for the present and we could have a slightly entertaining season.

It's official, I expect sometime this week Chris Kaman traded for a new SG who expires in 2010. I hope we don't get Gerald Wallace, we don't need more wing players. Just a solid SG, my hopes is Chris Kaman for Monta Ellis (once Dec. 15th rolls around). Then we can play a real up-tempo game. The bench is still a huge problem, Jason Hart & Ricky Davis are the next that need to go.

LOL Monta for Kaman....LOL

But Knicks seem to really be changing things up, surprised they trade Randolph now.

Walsh has done a good job. Now you want to fill your team with youngsters over the next 2 years. Watch the team grow, and then make a huge splash in 2 years. Until then, I will make fun of the knicks while I still can.

You know, as much as the trades today clear cap space for the knicks, it also acutally fits.

Harrington and TT fill the void at the bigs left by randolph in a small ball lineup. It also leaves room for David Lee and Wilson chandler to play. and Mobley fills crawfords void.

I must say I'm impressed by Donnie Walsh, on paper...

Yeah, though to be honest, I see Lee getting dealt this year as well. If the Goal is Lebron, then the extension to Lee would handicap that effort. I know people love him, but I think he's a goner.

I cant believe both moves were made in one day and both considerally clearing cap space for possible 2 stars! lol obviously that wount happen with other knicks needing to be signed but walsh did it at a great time when both players values were good even though jamal sholdve landed you a pick at least or something.

Now I am just upset having to see Tim Thomas back in a Knicks uniform... especially from his last go around! ugh!

I hear ya on the TT thing, but he played for D'Antoni in Phoenix and played well. I hate him as much as you though. He killed my Lakers in that playoff series a few years back...if not for him the lakers probably would have won that series.

Oh well, but I wonder if Thomas gets time, because he has shown he can play in this kind of system, or if hes relegated to the end of the bench with stephon and eddy.

It's gotta be kind of weird being Lebron in this position. I mean he sees all these moves being made by a team that clearly wants to make a run at him in 2 years. That's just got to be weird to see when you know you're the target.

they rapped them? what did they rap them in? oh, did you mean raped them? oh, nevermind. :D

not sure how soon clipps can trade camby, but...camby + filler for marion?

why? They have a stud young sf in thornton. They need a sg type. Plus Marion expires, I doubt the clips want to trade camby for an expiring. Plus marion would only take them more toward a funning style of offense, which mike dunleavy clearly hates.

I actually like these moves by the Knicks, they're going to compete still and these guys stroke the 3 which is what needed in the run-n-gun transition offense. I like it a lot, you have Chris Duhon, Cat Mobley, Q-Rich, Wilson Chandler & David Lee starting with Nate Robinson, Al Harrington & Tim Thomas coming off the bench. This is a D'Antoni style team. I think the Knicks will make the playoffs for sure now.

This trade makes little sense except from a financial standpoint. This is obviously a desperate attempt by the Clippers to appease Davis. Is Kaman next? I hope not. I think dude is extremely underrated. IMO, he's probably by the third most fundamentally sound big man behind Duncan and Gasol. Yeah, i said it.

Donnie Walsh is really sticking to his plan.

We have enough cap to sign 2 superstars in 2010.

Hinrich for Kaman works out with salaries. I don't know what other Clipper players would have to be included if Deng et al. were traded. No way would I want to take on extra salary through 2010 just to get Kaman. No way would I want to blow all our assets on a complementary piece. A star, yes. A complementary player, no.

I didn't mean salary-wise, I'm just saying I don't think the Clips would be privvy to trading a very good young true Center for just Kirk... I think they'd probably want Deng or multiple pieces. I'm fine with something like Deng/Thabo or if we could give them Noc and Kirk or something

exactly. it seems like they will trade one.
it would be nice to have camby come off the bench though becaus eonce one of them leave the game there is a huuuge drop off from kaman and camby to the reserves.

if we can trade a pick and somebody for a good sg then it would be awesome if we had all 3 big guys
