Before you just go nuts, I am going to put a small qualification on it.

For instance, if you're going to say the Suns, and then you list Rondo, Fernandez and Sergio Rodriguez. I'm going to disqualify that. In order for the player to count, the player has to have played for the team for a year...

and if you want to look at past drafts, you can see them here. (http://www.nbadraft.net/nba_draft_history/index.html)

Ironically enough, Portland has made some of the worst draft choices and had some of the best drafts. They drafted Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldridge, Rudy Fernandez, Greg Oden, Terry Porter, Clifford Robinson, Bill Walton, Travis Outlaw, Zach Randolph, Arvydas Sabonis, Jerome Kersey, Clyde Drexler. They drafted Jermaine O'neal, who played for them for a while, before trading him for "Stale" Dale. They drafted Moses Malone, who never played for them, after being traded for somebody who isn't important enough to remember.

Hard to quantify because you can say that just getting Lebron for the Cavs is better than all of the guys Portland has gotten even though they may have the best collection of guys drafted.

To me Boston has had the best draft if considering everything.

Joe Johnson in 2001, Paul Pierce in 1998, Al Jefferson in 2004

Well I think the Jazz have done decent when you consider where they have been picking but I will support my team obviously.

2006- Ronnie Brewer, Paul Millsap<--- A+ pick
2005- Deron Williams, CJ Miles
2003- Mo Williams
1999 Ak-47

The Bulls have always thrown together nice draft days.

My instincts tell me that it will be them.

I have wet dreams thinking about what could have been (even though i know it never would have worked due to trading players for draft picks).

Derrick Rose, Jay Willams (oh what could have been), Chris Duhon
Jamal Crawford, Kirk Hinrich, Ben Gordon
Ron Artest, Thabo Sefolosha
Elton Brand, Tyrus Thomas, Joakim Noah
Tyson Chandler, Eddie Curry, Aaron Gray

Funny that the Bulls landed on the "best" and "worst" lists. I think they draft very, very well. It's what they did with the players afterwards that hurt them.

Not being a homer. but id hafta agree. Boston is right up there for the best draft picks (along with some of the worst) lol

since 1998

Rondo (around pick 20)
Pierce (10th)
Big al (17 i think)
Joe Johnson (10)

with no picks higher than ten, we got 2 perenial all-stars, a blooming auperstar in Big-Al and a promising young PG in Rajon.

then we got a couple guys like tony allen, delonte west, gerald green

So looking at the picks we made at what position in the draft boston was in, i think they are up there for the best. I dont think you should count 1-5 drafting as good drafting.

not bad, but like i said in my post.. IMO good drafting is outside the top 5 or 10. Easy to draft good when you have top 5 picks

The Spurs for getting Duncan and then Parker and Ginobli ridiculously late in the drafts....they built a championship core with draft picks....

Duncan was 1997 though.

I would have to say the Spurs. They have the most championship under their belt and every single superstar. Manu, Parker, and Duncan have been their own draft choices not draft day trades, or trades in general.

Even if Duncan was 97 Manu and Parker weren't and they are big asset to that team.

How angry would you be if the Spurs come back to win the championship this year? I would be furious, since it would just show how good that entire organization is.

Nothing against the spurs fan just wish my team the Raptors had the same head office, and coaching staff, and players minus Bosh he stays here:P

Raps have been hit and miss (like everyone else). Don't forget they picked up Calderon from the euroleagues.

The Kings have been fairly consistent since the turn of the century. The second column is the draft #.

2008 12 Jason Thompson 11.7 6.5 1.0
2007 10 Spencer Hawes 5.7 3.8 0.7
2006 19 Quincy Douby 4.2 1.0 0.6
2005 23 Francisco Garcia 8.1 2.9 1.4
2004 26 Kevin Martin 15.6 3.6 1.7
2001 25 Gerald Wallace 11.6 5.1 1.8
2000 16 Hidayet Turkoglu 11.8 4.1 2.5

No pick over 10. Not bad.

Id like to Say the Bulls. We drafted Solid players and Not many Bust. We have not drafted any stars till Rose but at least we Havent just been Terrible.
Plus when we did draft bad playres we traded them so we could get something in return

by that criteria it's probably Spurs or Bucks

Bucks find away to draft better in the 2nd round than 1st

This is an easy question to answer, it's not Boston because they let all these guys go, as a matter of fact they also got Chauncey but these picks didn't work with them, but the San Antonio Spurs are definately the best team at drafting over the last 10 years, they have the most championships over the last 10 years and they also picked up Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli in the 2ND ROUND!!! How crazy is that, I just wished the Knicks knew what they were doing... Coulda had Amare Stoudamire!
