After two days of voting, Kobe Bryant has landed the shooting guard spot. Also, I think voting by position is a better idea than just picking two random guards and forwards, so don't get upset that there's a little more to this election than popularity. I'm trying to organize a team with five unique positions; this is a mock.

Everybody knows NBA All-Star voting is a popularity contest, just like the presidential election. I am starting a mock All-Star election for contirbutors of PSD to choose the starters. Even though most people on this site are totally biased, they are a little bit more informed than many of the people voting for the All-Stars. Think of yourselves as a special sample audience.
I know that in real All-Star voting, people vote for two guards and forwards from the east and west, but here we will vote by position to make sure everyone gets one vote per player. I will compile the results after 2 days, because that is the length of my patience, and any serious contributor should be able to manage within that time frame.
In this thread we will be voting for a small forward from the western conference. We will vote for other positions in other threads.

It would be Melo, or Rudy Gay to me. I would love to see Rudy throw down some dunks in the game.

I hate Melo's attitude and d, so I'll take Thornton.

23-7-4-42% FG-28% 3P

or

16-5-1-47% FG-50% 3P

That's not that much different given how many more shots Melo takes per game (6) and the fact he sucks on D.
