MIAMI -- Greg Oden says he's ready to play.

The Portland Trail Blazers center says he'll play Wednesday night against the Miami Heat (ESPN, 8 ET), even though the team is listing him officially as a game-time decision. Oden has missed the Blazers' last six games because of a sprained right foot suffered in Portland's season-opening loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

"Feels good. I'm ready. I'm excited," Oden said after Wednesday's shootaround. "I'll hopefully play the full game tonight."

Oden was the No. 1 pick in the 2007 NBA draft, then missed all of last season following knee surgery.

Once you get going on a sprained ankle it doesn't hurt that much. It is when he sits down that he will feel the pain. This guy is tough.

I think he will stick through the whole game.

I wouldn't rush him back though just because he wants to badly which is obvious. If he's capable to play 100% I'd say put him out there, if not, sit him down for one more game or let him play limited minutes... (like 10 orso)

Although his inside presence would be useful against the bigman-less heat.

I hope, he really is... I also hope he can finally live up to the hype! Lets go Blazers!
