I wish he could come to the Wiz, he would help our defense and our post game too.

For the Heat
something involving Marion

Rockets Get:
Chris Kaman
2nd Round Pick

Clippers Get:
Rafer Alston
Carl Landry
Chuck Hayes
1st Round Pick

Helps Clippers for future, Rafer and Chuck expire in 2010 and they fill depth on your bench. Carl Landry is a starter, he finally gets his chance in LA to shine. I actually think this would be a really good trade for the clips. plus it lets eric gordon start

Oh God! Kaman may be avialable but I can guarantee that we aren't looking to dump his salary. I would say;

Kaman for Boozer or someone like that.

No way Jazz do that, Clippers are looking for a young PF to compliment Camby, a backup PG and a 1st Round Pick, my trade idea has all of those

If the Rockets did that they don't need Mutombo. Heck they could just play Yao half the year to preserve him for the playoffs.

How sick would that Frontcourt rotation be

SCOLA/YAO/KAMAN

No one in the west could compete with that

I don't know what phase the Clippers think they're in. Are they rebuilding? Are they rebuilt? Are they looking to go more half-court? Are they looking to run more?

If they're rebuilding, the Pacers can offer Rasho Nesterovic straight up. He's a little less defense, a little more offense, and lots of passing. Plus his contract expires after this year.

If they're rebuilt and looking to tweak, Troy Murphy offers similar points and rebounding (much less defense though), and is an incredible 3pt shooter for being 7ft (50% this season so far). He could space the floor much better for Camby inside.

If they're looking to run more, then Murphy's an option, or they could trade Kaman and DeAndre Jordan for Mike Dunleavy Jr. Sr. gets to coach Jr., and he is perfectly suiting to a running game and motion offense. 19ppg, 5.2rpg, 3.5apg, and can play anywhere from SG/SF/PF or point-forward.

If they're looking to play more half-court, then the Pacers are out. We've got nothing to offer a half-court team ;)

I would sure love it if he would go to Miami in a Marion deal (we don't need Mobley though).

Not sure why the Clippers would want to trade him though.

That would be the reason I guess. He does make $10M to $12M a year for the next 3 years.

Yea I was just saying from a Clipper fans prospective its much different. This rumor was created by the NY Post not very reliable Clipper source. IF we are looking to trade Kaman it IS NOT for the kind of offers you guys are coming up with. We aren't rebuilding yet. If we were to trade him it would have to be for something that can help us win this year.

That's exactly the reason why I don't understand why the Clips would want to trade him. If you want to compete right now you will definitely need your bigs.

You could definitely use Marion at SF (or PF) though, Imo. But whether or not it would improve the team overall Idk. A run&gun-ish speedy team would be possible with this:

PG - B.Davis/Hart/Taylor
SG - Gordon/R.Davis
SF - Thornton/Marion/TT
PF - Marion/Thornton/TT
C - Camby/Skinner/Jordan

Salary's what I figured; from what I've read, the Clips owner is quite tight fisted. But won't this just set the Clippers back-unless they get something great in return or the other players continue to improve...And why do they have Tim Thomas, still? He's garbage.

How about McCants and Cardinal for Kaman? Both can potentially come off LA's books, and McCants is a very good scorer off the bench. Wolves have too many mid sized guards, and no center, Clips could use scoring, and cap space

Really?
Dwight playing power foward is better than Lewis playing PF and lewis IS a SF , sure they wouldnt like a Center?

They can Use a PF too but they need lewis to play his natural position.

Doesn't play D? Think again. He's one of the best defensive players in the game. He's one of 3 players in the history of the NBA to average 2 blocks and2 steals in a season. Not even Marion, Ben Wallace, Camby or KG have.

Just because it is rare for a player to do that does not necessarily mean the stat tells the story about his defense. Being able to force turnovers is a good skill, no doubt but I have always found blocks and steals being used as argument for a players good defense to be useless. You can look at it two ways: the player is very athletic with good instincts; or the player takes a lot of risks on help defense. There is no stat for how many times you leave your man open because you tried to contest a shot or go for a steal and gave the other team a wide up shot/lay-in. That stat would mean more to me. I am not saying that Wallace is a bad defender, just that I don't think that statistic you presented is an adequate argument.
