Chris Paul set an NBA record on Saturday night as his Hornets routed the Heat to end a two-game losing skid.

Paul became the first player in NBA history to start a season with six games with 20 or more points and 10 or more assists, surpassing Oscar Robertson, who achieved fine consecutive games in 1968.

"Whatever I can do to help us win, that's what I'm going to do," Paul said. "It's an unbelievable honor to be mentioned in the same breath as Oscar Robertson. He averaged a triple double for a full season."

These basketball stats are starting to sound awfully baseball like.

I heard that CP3 was the first player to score 23 points on 17 shots, while getting 7 or more assists, two steals, and 5 rebounds, on November 8th, when it's raining in Chicago, and a kid under six is sitting in courtside seats.

But seriously, that was a nice streak, and of course being compared to Oscar, anyway you cut it, is quite the compliment.

He still has a few games to go, he is at like 98 right now and the record is a little over 100. He will get it and fly past it.
