Manny Lawson = 6'5" with a 39.5" vertical. Check out how high he gets on his vertical jump:

LeBron James = 6'8" with an approximate 40-45" vertical. Therefore it can be deduced that he can stand beneath the rim and jump up and grab the top of the backboard. That's pretty messed up.

If he can be from pedestrian to superhuman from outside there will be no hope guarding this guy with single coverage.

too bad he cant do it. DJ white has never even been seen to do it. its just too high. DJ white has a 50+ inch vert and is like 6'7". they did an interview about it on espn a while ago. look it up. i thikn its called the jumping myth or something along those lines

If he has that high of a vertical, then he should have enough lift to shoot a J. For some reason, he's having alot of trouble in that category. Better players (Jordan, Kobe) don't really on driving to the lane and dunking it to get their points.

And for some reason, LeBron does the same tomahawk dunk over and over again. Doesn't he have a bit of creativity??

not tryin to discredit theses pics at all but his arms have to be like 4 feet long. his head isnt even at the rim and the top of the backboard is 13 ft. that would imply that his reach from his fingertips to just the top of his head is at least 3 ft. not saying its unreal, but just that he has to be a freak because from my head to my tips when raising my arms is only about 24 inches...i claim 6' even but im actually 6'1 or 6'2". that would imply that he has a full foot of arm length on me just from having 3 inches more height...not probable

Maybe if they enforce a rule where they count 1 point extra per basket depending on how much creativity he displays in his finish.

didnt both of them get a bulk of their points off their drive games at first? i know kobe was known as a high flyer and all, and yes he had a good shot, but wast his bread and butter his drive? jordan shot like 15% from 3 his rookie year but shot 52% from the field. he got a LOT of dunks and drove a lot every game. just pointing that out. this is coming from a used to be huge bron hater...just give the man a bit more time...say 3 years to see if he ever developes a conststant J....he does lack creativity for dunking tho
