No link yet, I got an ESPN txt that said it

I do not like this move for the Pistons, I saw him as a solid Trade Peice to get a Good Big. but now they have intentions of keeping him

Good deal, and it's not like he can't be traded. He has a very reasonable contract.

Fair current market value for him. Nice deal by Dumars.

So are they gonna trade Sheed? And who's next?

fair contract and as for him being a trade piece he still is. he can still play and he now signed an extension most teams would want that.

To me, this says Iverson will be moving again after this season. I really can't see that backcourt working.

Fair contract and I agree, still tradeable.

He is worth that kind of money and he's still tradeable, 3 years is ok.

Honestly I don't think AI or Wallace gets traded. They play out the year and then their contracts come off the books. They're $20M under the cap in '09, and can make a run at Carlos Boozer. Surround him with Prince, Hamilton, Stuckey, Maxiell, and Amir Johnson, and you have a pretty good team.

And Ben Gordon think he is worth more than Rip?

I personally, do not think he is worth 10 million, maybe 7-8. But still good move by the Pistons.

I would be really surprised if the Pistons decided to make a trade involving Rasheed sometime this year. He has a 14M dollar contract coming off the books at seasons end, and if you would add that with Iversons 21M expiring contract, the Pistons would have at LEAST 35 million dollars to work with in free agency. (Assuming the Pistons decide not to extend either of them) And that means they would be able to go after a big like Carlos Boozer, or they could save the money until 2010 and make a play for one of the superstars.

Why would you trade Rip when you know A.I is just a stopping gap? Stuckey is the future and Rip will continue to thrive because of his game and he keeps himself in great physical condition. He'll be playing at a high level for a while.
