is it just me or does LK look like someone we should have just passed on...... he seems like a liability on the court and not an asset. Should have given JR the better contract not LK imo.

I agree.....He showed so much promise and potential before the Artest trade proposal last season, but ever since then, he has fell off.....I remember I was against Kleiza bein traded for Artest, because I thought Kleiza would flourish, but ever since the nuggets agreed to keep him, he has played like trash with ****** baby diapers.

I think we should involve him in a trade.

maybe they should threaten to trade him again and then he might play better. i cant stand him and even when smith sucked last season i said keep smith and get rid of LK. i never really though he was great, at one point he was ok for me, but since then, i think he is hurting us more than helping, and he is showing no improvement. too much money for someone who dont help at all, at least kmart and nene and ai are productive. trade him is my opinion

Well they decided not to extend his contract and its past the deadline. This makes LK a restricted free agent at the end of the seaon, If he does step it up again this season, and get his shot dropping ( he's definately in a shooting funk right now). They can let another team set the price for him like we did JR, thus giving him less money.

and if he doesn't get out of this slump... IMO he still has some trade value.

He has definitely had some bad games so far - only bad games, really.

But if you look at his per36 stats, it's just crazy to think that he's gotten worse by more than half over the course of a single summer, especially when he's still so young and (ostensibly) should still be improving:

2005-06 21 DEN NBA 61 2 519 5.3 12.0 .445 0.1 0.9 .154 4.0 5.6 .704 2.6 5.4 8.0 1.0 0.7 0.9 1.1 6.0 14.8
2006-07 22 DEN NBA 79 14 1488 4.8 11.5 .422 2.0 5.3 .376 2.8 3.3 .852 1.9 4.6 6.4 1.1 0.7 0.3 1.9 4.8 14.5
2007-08 23 DEN NBA 79 13 1889 5.9 12.6 .472 1.8 5.3 .339 3.1 4.1 .770 1.8 4.6 6.3 1.8 0.8 0.4 1.7 3.4 16.8
2008-09 24 DEN NBA 3 2 70 2.6 11.3 .227 0.0 5.1 .000 2.6 3.1 .833 0.5 7.2 7.7 2.6 0.5 0.5 1.5 3.6 7.7

He's definitely starting this season off in a funk, but I'm sure he'll snap out of it.

If you look at those stats, you can infer that he's shooting less, and passing and rebounding more. This is a very, very good direction for him to move in (provided good shot selection). So part of his struggling could just be that he's trying to change course in midstream, trying to retool his game. I hope so.

He has shot poorly but his overall effort has been good, 9 rebounds in game 2 and he calmly hit those 2 clutch free throws and he has been apart of the team effort to play better D.
I think he is(and the rest of the team) is suffering from lack of offensive coaching, maybe if karl tried running plays we might see better O from everyone. Right now(going back to last year) only players who can generate their own shots can score consistently, JR, AI and melo.
