Celtics or Magic both killed everyone last year!

the magic's of course, it's not really a fair question because those are their 3 best players.

Is say the Magic/Lakers have a tie. I love the Magic's versatility with Lewis and Hedo.

Last time I checked the Lakers frontcourt was
Radmonovic, Gasol, and Bynum and seeing Bynum yesterday made me question he fouls way too much

Just so ya know I pick the Hornets DUHHH
3 point shooter, post/ mid range man and DEFENSE

I know it isn't actually their starting line up, but I'd still take Odom/Gasol/Bynum. And I expect them to take the championship.

Wow I didn't realise Orlando's frontcourt looked that nice. On paper i'll go with them, come Playoff time - Celtics and then Lakers

actually odom is part of laker's front court.
not being in the starting lineup doesn't mean you're not part of the team's frontcourt...

Why, Rashard cant guard or rebound with Amare, Gasol, Boozer, Garnett, Wallace, and the other good PF's, He is not a PF, Orlando has 2 small forwards and a forward/center.

i would take magic or lakers, but i like the hornets and blazers will be great in another year or 2

that's because IMO the lakers have the best frontcourt depth.
on paper, orlando does have a great frontcourt... but two of their "frontcourt" plays a perimeter game like guards. so in reality, how good of a frontcourt is that?

i personally never liked separating frontcourt and backcourt players.
i label them interior (paint) and exterior (perimeter) players.

if i change that one word and ask, who has the best interior players?
i don't think people would vote for orlando as much.

im not saying the lakers frontcourt is bad, i just thought that odom shouldn't be there.
If Odom doesn't play well, then they need Gasol to get their offense. Bynum is a pretty decent to good defender, but he is offensively challenged.

but can't i go on and say the same thing about the hornets?

If Peja doesn't play well, then they need West to get their offense. Chandler is a pretty decent to good defender, but he is offensively challenged. ;)

i hope i don't sound bias because i always try not to be.
but IMO:

odom>peja
gasol>west
bynum>chandler

Vinny642
10-29-2008, 04:23 PM
and then i counter it with
radmonivic<<Peja or Odom> Peja
Gasol= West
Bynum< Chandler

just so u know, IM always gonna disagree with any laker fans, i hate them more then the yankees or cowboys. I hated Kobe his whole life, Gasol i have never gave a crap bout him and bynum i hate him cuz he is compared to a young shaq

yes peja is better than radman. but you take the starting lineup way too literally.
who will average more minutes? if you're playing against the spurs, who's scouting report would you pay attention to more? finley or ginobili?
just because the lakers can now afford to bring a borderline all-star off the bench, doesn't mean it should be discounted.
gasol is better than west IMO because he's lead his teams to the playoffs before (although that's the farthest he got), and won 50 games being "the man", and won at the worlds.
west has yet to prove he can be this good without chris paul or an average PG.

not all laker fans are biased. i like the hornet's team alot as well. CP3 is my favourite young player in the nba.

I was objective (Lakers fan) and picked Boston.

But in reality only one trio there has THREE allstars...

i'm sure you know which one it is. (but NOBODY has voted for them)

leftymo
10-29-2008, 05:20 PM
actually it maybe two... forgot that Zman made the allstar game back in the day, Ben did for defensive reasons, and of course lebron.

But the other trio is also quite good.

I know the cavs have 3 all stars, but I don't think any of the others due. Mcdyess has never been an all star as far as i can recall.

im a laker man, but id rather have bostons front court. KG over gasol, Pierce over Odom, Bynum is over Perkins, but you got 1.5 HoFers vs a potential one in bynum and a question mark in gasol.

Orlando Magic but most votes were wasted on homerism. The Lakers front court couldn't even handle Kendrick Perkins and Leon Powe

I didn't. While the Lakers front court is truly a strength of the team, it might not be the best front court, but you couple that with Kobe and a bench stronger than anyone, and that's why Laker fans are giddy.

hahah leftymo but andre carter was not a bust...they just lost him...im from the bay area too and like football...i know whats going on though and its not looking good....nolan should not have been fired in my opinion because he didn't have the talent...you need players to succeed its that simple

lakers bench is NOT stronger than any1... i hate how laker fans take anything that is slightly above average and say its the greatest... there was already 1 laker fan in this thread that said bynum is a hall of famer... the lakers bench plays absoulutely no defense odom is good, thats it the rest are slightly above avg bench players besides walton and mihm who suck...
