The Dallas Mavericks and the NBA, in a joint venture with the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, will announce Thursday that the league's 2010 All-Star Game will be played at the new stadium soon to be opened by the Cowboys in Arlington, Texas.

Sources told ESPN.com that a formal announcement has been scheduled at American Airlines Center before the Mavericks' season opener Thursday night against the Houston Rockets.

I think this is pretty cool. When was the last time an NBA game was played in a football stadium?

That would be awful to watch. Football stadiums aren't meant for basketball games.

I went to the Sweet 16 this year at Reliant stadium to watch Texas vs. Stanford & Mich St. vs. memphis and the court layout was just awful

I don't see what the issue would be. If 100'000 people can fit in that stadium for football games, then there could be 120'000/130'000 or something for basketball. That atmosphere would be amazing!

That would be interesting. Wonder how packed the stadium will be.
