View Full Version : Hightower to see increased workload?

Edgerrin James could continue to see his workload reduced as coach Ken Wisenhunt indicated Monday that Tim Hightower could be headed for more carries.

James said he felt like the team had "put me in a position to fail." He'll still have a role in the offense, but his arrow is pointing in the wrong direction.

I think Hightower has more explosiveness than James anyways.

best decsion for the team.....but we do need to make sure hightower can pick up blocks especially on LB stunts....because though I feel Edge has been completely dull ever since he was signed by us, he does provide some excellent pass blocking....but his fumbles and the fact that his longest run as a cardinal is 25 yards is un-acceptable

I think it would be good but james should've never cut his own wrist by saying that he needs more carries and fumble on a critical play if you are going to talk about it , be about it and also just don't say nothing and show them that you can still play instead of getting outshined by a rookie that has something to prove. Just remember hightower is competing for the job , the jobs already yours so only you can determine wether if you want the job.Hightower is starting to show that he wants it more just like kurt warner did to matt lineirt

FoxSports.com's John Czarnecki reports that Tim Hightower is expected to start against the Rams Sunday.

We already ranked him as a low level RB2, and this only helps his case. Even if Hightower doesn't start, expect him to get more touches than Edgerrin James against the Rams.

Man you guys got a steal with Hightower. He will be your future back. I loved him in college and new he would be a steal but not that big of steal. good luck cardinals fans. you got a better chance than my lions

you guys should try to get someone like Devin Moore to completely get rid of edge. Moore has chris johnson speed, and alot of people compare his play to Chris Johnson. IMO, would be a good pick for you guys in the late 3rd/early 4th. You would have 2 young stud RBs and then you need to pray Lineart pans out, even after all this mess, or your gonna have to get a QB
