Yea we've heard about them for a while now, but there's too many problems with them to become stars.

I dont see Kenny George lasting in this league, he has terrible footwork, and is to slow. he'd get killed by an athletic center.

Yeah, Kenny George is sooooo slow. He would just get burned by any kind of moderatly agile big.

Frrrrank!!!

A team should draft kenny george and when he is in the game just play D 5-4 and keep him at the other end of the court. After a missed shot or even a made shot outlet pass down to him(which it doesnt even need to be accurate with a 93 inch wingspan) and then it is an automatic dunk. in a perfect world i guess, lol.

one of them lost a foot last week.

people that tall rearly pans out in the league, ming did for example but for each ming you have a Bol (who was fun but not goofd), Bradley, Nevitt, Muresan and now Haddadi, who is doing horrible in Memphis ( its so funny people ranked him above Marc Gasol including Nba Live 09)

To the original topic: I doubt they'll make the NBA based on scouting reports. Even people who can play ball, and are that tall, still need the foot-speed. I played with a big cat named Jerry Sokolowski (google him) for an Ontario Basketball team called the Burlington Lords and when we were 13 years old the guy was 6'9". When we were 17 he was 7'3" and though I don't know him anymore he now clocks in at 7'6" and 375lbs. And he can shoot the three-ball, rebound, pass, really soft hands--good head for the game. But damn if that guy isn't slow. I mean really, really slow. He attended the Nike camps in the early 2000s (2002, 2003 I think) and thought about entering the draft but his agent advised against it because of his speed. I'm not sure what ever became of him, he's clearly not playing in the NBA. ... that was a long diatribe.

George will come but will be a bottom of the bench player. Sun Ming Ming tried to play for the lakers and sucked, he could run the floor for more then 5 posetions, plus hes on the older side now. Georges foot will hurt him so doubt he averages more then 5minutes a game for any team.

Kenny is a giant and I don't thik he'll play a lot of minutes if he makes the NBA. Unless of course, he works on quickness, stamina and things like that.

The picture of Sun Ming Ming palming a basketball looks nuts--kinda looks like the ball is the size of a grapefruit.

How can you allow someone to dunk on you when you're that tall? :pity:

Especially someone like Hansbrough.

Sometimes when players are so big growing up they're used to running into the post catching the ball and dunking it, so they don't always get to work on the fundamentals they need to make it to the league unless they were fortunate enough to have great coaching growing up.

Does anyone know what kind of amputation was done? Was it the front half, or side. Obviously his health is most important, but for his basketball creer, prostetics might actually work for him. He doesn't need to jump much anyway.

It's really sad since it wasn't his height that did this. It was an infection.

Sun Ming Ming was in "Rush Hour 3" if anyone saw it.
He's massive.
EDIT: nevermind, his website shows the clip from the movie.
