The way he currently sits, AI is number 20 on the all time scorer's list with about 22,988 points. At 33 years old, I think we can see AI in the league for another 4-5 seasons depending on how long he wants to play.

With that said, I do not think its an unfair argument to say that AI can score at least 5,000 more points. Considering he gets about 2,000 a season that assertion doesn't seem that radical.
With those 5,000 he would sit at around 28,000 total points which would pass Moses Malone for 5th all time with his 27,409. 4th place is held Wilt at about 31,419.

I think Allen iverson will have the 5th all time slot when its all said and done.
Anyone disagree?

Allen Iverson will reach 30,000 career points. He will join the 30,000 point club with Chamberlain, Jordan, Malone, and Kareem.

I think Iverson will end up with aroundn 32-35k ending up 3rd all time, possibly 4th depending on what Kobe does.

A.I. will achieve 5th place in a few years, but he will be passed by Kobe soon after that. He will be a top ten all time scorer for many years.

AI's game is slowing down. He's still tough as nails but he is no longer considered one of the fastest in the league. Two years, tops, and he will likely be playing a supporting role rather than being the lead scorer. Once you're not building around Iverson, suddenly his size handicap becomes glaring. He'll get more and more time on the bench. 28,000 is not unreasonable, 30,000 probably is.
