I saw Derek's thread on how the Bobcats could be shopping around Gerald Wallace.

We would all want him back, but also he would be a major upgrade over any SF we have right now.

What could we give up to get him? I want Salmons to got.

Maybe Shelden and Salmons or something.

Or a pick and a player...

Give me feedback

I love Gerald and his ability to get to the rim and play stellar defense. He would solve our defensive problem, and give us a much needed athletic ability.

The only way I can see us obtaining him though, is if we give up Brad Miller. This is because the Bobcats want to start Morrison, hence why they are trading Wallace in the first place. It would also push Okafor back to PF, to his natural position.

For us, that would mean we would have to start Hawes, which I don't feel he is ready just yet. Maybe if Hawes show's us that he is ready to start, but for now I'd have to pass.

I'd do a Miller/Wallace swap. Let's just throw Spencer in there. Might as well.

I'm not totally against that, but I'd at least want to see how he does in the first five games to evaluate him more.

And do you think the Bobcats' would do a straight up Miller for Wallace? Or would we have to add more?

No idea. Their management is ******** so...anything can happen. They were ready to trade him for TJ Ford...MJ is an idiot.

Something built around Spencer or Miller because I'm sure they'll want a center. Mohammed's nice but as far as I know they're still pretty thin up front.

C-Hawes or Miller
PF-Thompson
SF-Wallace
SG-Martin
PG-Udrih

With Salmons and Garcia off the bench. Good stuff. Martin and Wallace are both 25 if I'm not mistaken too.

It's a scary thought to think somebody is that stupid (especially MJ). I'd trade Miller for Wallace faster than I could even think about what the trade actually was. Would Spencer be ready? Who cares. I'd drive down there and make him ready.

Guys I'm a big Gerald Wallace fan ever since he did that pre-season dunk against the rockets member?.... you member!

I always knew he would turn out to be this good that's what hurts so much!... If we can get him back it would be great!

Wallace and Martin would be a way better combo than Artest and Martin and more exciting...

would gforce welcome a comeback to sac knowing we didn't keep him wen we had the chance.

I doubt he'd be bitter about it. We had no choice when we lost him, we could only protect so many players in the expansion draft.

If we hadn't let him go to the Bobcats, he probably would not have a 57 million dollar contract right now. He needed playing time, and going to the Bobcats gave him an opportunity to grow as a player.

Him and Martin would be on hell of a 1-2 punch

The only CON in Gerald Wallace is that he gets injured every damn season and misses a gripload of games.

1st season in Charlotte - 12 games missed
2nd season in Charlotte - 27 games missed
3rd season in Charlotte - 10 games missed
4th season in Charlotte - 20 games missed

He is really reckless since he gives 100% out there.

Isnt it that if he gets ONE more concussion, that he wont be able to play in the NBA anymore?

But, regardless....I would love to have back on the Kings.
Martin-Wallace would be the most explosive 1-2 punch in the league. Even if we dont make the playoffs, they would be the most exciting team in the league.

^Well if that's a rule or something, I'm sure it could be appealed. And playing in 70, 55, 72, and 62 games isn't THAT bad. It's not great, but the reckless play can be coached out of him if that's the issue behind those injuries. I don't know if they are or not. I haven't really followed Gerald Wallace that much the past few years other than his statistics.

no no no
That is not an NBA rule.
Its what many doctors and trauma specialists have told Wallace. He can suffer serious brain damage if he gets two more concussions, which is why they put the ultimatum at one more.

I would love Wallace back!... Miller would be nice to send but I would believe they would want someone younger (ie: Hawes).... But if he is available we should atleast kick the tires...

Sounds like a King to me! :D

I think we would have to give up Miller or Salmons plus a pick of some value to get Wallace, which I wouldn't mind. Wallace brings alot to the table, as does Miller, but we've tried the Miller expirment and it hasn't really made a difference to our play off hopes. Wallace also is better for our youth movement being that Miller is 32 already. I say pull the trigger if the opportunity becomes available.

Trade Wallace for Miller & Donte Greene & Thompson

NO WAY

Brad Miller and a pick could land Wallace

Thompson is the guy that should make it ok to trade Miller if you wanted to so you need to keep him.

If Thompson balls like he did last night all season long he could be a roty candidate. Problem is he won't get the minutes to be productive when Miller comes back from suspension.

If Miller prevents Hawes and Thompson from performing like they did last night then **** Miller. We can ship his old ***. These guys are special and we need to develop them.

Keeping Miller and Moore is going to limit the minutes our newer bigs see

If we are trying to develop some chemistry with the younger guys on the floor we could ship Miller Salmons and Moore out of here

That would pave the way for Hawes Thompson and Donte to get the minutes they will need to become successful in this league
