Let's say you are in a game 7 of the Conference Finals.

Which scenario is more painful to see happen.

A.) You lose the game by 1 point on a last second shot on the road

B.) You lose by 20+ points at home?

NOTE: I ask this because some would rather get blown out then lose a close game in the finale because it would affect them more so.

voted for A because if u lose at the buzzer it means that you are in the game the whole night and u would have won the game if u just made a stop

that happened to the raptors with vince missing the last second shot in round 2 so that is definately more painful

The last second shot is much more painful. It allows you to focus so much more on what could have been, because it was right within your team's grasp, and lets you start to make excuses that fester for a while. When you get blown out like in the other scenario, most sports fans can be reasonable objective and say "we just got outclassed tonight" and leave it there.

I actually think losing at home in a game 7 is more painful.

1.) Because technically speaking in a game 7 the home team is the favorite and evidently is the team with the better record.

2.) Coming into the game you expect to win. That is why you have the HCA.

3.) Losing on the road in a game 7 is no shame.

4.) Losing at home in a game 7 is embarrasing in itself considering that 80% of home teams win game 7 at home, but losing by 20 is just bad in itself and would create nothing but boos.

the most painful way would be to blow a 3-0 series lead to lose (or do a Dallas)

A, means if you made one more stop you would have won

I have to say A too. You'll be watching those guys that beat you playing in the finals, knowing that you were one possesion away from being there.

I couldn't stand losing by one point I'd rather get blown out. At least you know who's better, the last shot could be pure luck and losing by one is way more demoralizing

I think B the blow out is more painful. You get demolished and humiliated in front of your fans and in playoffs that just sucks. WIth a one point loss at least you know you played the best you could and were doing a really good job but that last shot. I say a blow out is more painful although the one point loss will stick around with you longer.

A would be more painful for me in the short term. Long term I'd probably say B for getting embarrassed like that in your own building.

i rather lose by one point than getting blown out like the lakers, i would be happy that my team player hard, and would have more determination next year, and get to the finals.

Pretty close for me. A is obvious why, but for scenario B, if i saw my team being blown out the whole game, I would be angry the whole game seeing my team get man handled, compared to scenario A if the game is close the whole time you are having a good time watching the teams go back and forth...untill the loss.

Frrrrank!!!

losing last second on the road is worse by a landslide. Because after the heart breaking loss you have to see the other team celebrate with the fans going wild. Not something I would like seeing.
