Just think... Doc Rivers couldn't get above .500 with the Celts until he finally got KG & Ray Ray, and now look at him, he looks amazing, when realistically, he would be nowhere without them:

Doc Rivers:

Record before KG/Ray (w/ Celtics): 57-107

Record after KG/Ray (w/Celtics): 66-16

He got more wins in one year, than he did in the two before them.
Note: He also got fired from ORL after a 1-10 start...

This is just one example...

Larry Brown:

Record before getting David Robinson/Terry Cummings: 21-61
Record after getting David Robinson/Terry Cummings: 56-26

I'm not trying to take anything away from some of the greats, but all I'm saying is some of the coaches that became exulted usually were given an All-Star type player.

Even in football:

Bill Belichick w/ Cleveland: 36-43
Bill Belichick w/ out Brady (Year 1 w/ Pats): 5-11
Bill Belichick w/ Brady: 86-26 (3 SB's)

Just some food for thought... your thoughts?

Yes you can be a good coach with a bad team.

How?

Well you take a bad roster who is bond to win like 25 games and you are a good coach? you win 35 you are a bad coach you will win 15.

Winning a lot of games with a good roster is no merit.

I could go and coach right now the Lakers or Celtics and i will maybe win 5 or 6 games less than Pj and Rivers won last year.

^the key:

Boston: Yo, pass the ball to the open man, dont care for stats!!! Deffend deffend? Look at Kg and do what he does in d!!!

Lakers: Yo! give the Damm Ball to Kobe and get out of the way!!!! and Add someting like " Dont be like water, Be water my friends".
