Let's say you are a coach of a new team

Build a team of 12 players that would fit your playing style

And please build a team that is a mix of stars and role players(No teams full of stars)

Limit: 2-3 star, 2 potential stars( players like andrew bynum, mo williams, etc), and the rest are role players(dont make all your role players like Posey, Diaw, Battier, Barbosa. Put players like Joey Graham, Kyle korver, Sasha Pavlovic) also limited up to 3 rookies that are 1 rookie top 5 pick, 1 rookies rest of first round and 1 second round pick.

since rookies havent proven anything yet, Rookies are considered role players
__________________________________________________ _______________
My coaching style would be like Mike D'Antonie run-and-gun system but a little slower(12 secs or less) and a little more posting up when i need to catch up when im down by like 10 or more(like when shaq went to suns for half a season) and a little more perimiter defending(battier,Bell)

My players would be:

Starting Line-up

C- Tyson Chandler(PS)
PF- Chris Bosh(S)
SF- Lebron James(S)
SG- OJ Mayo(3)
PG- Chris Paul(S)

Backup

C- Al Horford(PS)
PF/C-Andrea Bargnani
PF- Kris Humpries
SF- Chris Douglas Roberts(41)
SF/SG- Shane Battier
SG- Raja Bell
PG- DJ Augustine(9)

(S)=Star
(PS)=Potential Star
(#)= the number of the rookie's draft pick

Mine would be:
C-Greg Oden (PS)
PF-Amare Stoudemire (S)
SF-Lebron James (S)
SG-OJ Mayo (R-3)
PG-Jose Calderon (PS)

Bench:
C-Andris Biedrins (RP)
PF-Chris Wilcox (RP)
PF-Nene (RP)
SF-Shane Battier (RP)
SG-Rudy Fernandez (RP)
SG-Martell Webster (RP)
PG-Jerryd Bayless (11-I think)

I would play uptempo basketball-like you said around 10-12 seconds or less. Not only would that team be a really good offensive team, but they would also be an incredible defensive team. And, the bench could easily average 40 points I think.

other than stoudimire and beidrins, none of your big men are really the kind of big men that fit in that system

and calderon is more of a half set kind of point guard

Calderon can run easily...I actually picture him as a poor man's Steve Nash. Wilcox is a really good athlete and can run the court. Oden can also run the court well for a big guy. I don't think any of my players would have a problem with running except for maybe Nene.

PG: Deron Williams (S)
SG: Rip Hamilton (S?)
SF: Shane Battier (RP)

C: Kendrick Perkins (RP)

Bench:
PG: Jordan Farmar
SG: Arron Afflalo
SF: Kelenna Azubuike
PF: Udonis Haslem
C: DeSagana Diop

Kendrick Perkins isn't much of a scorer, but Deron Williams, Rip Hamilton and Duncan can give you good scoring production, and Battier can stretch the floor a bit. On defense, that 5 would be very tough to score against.

The bench can provide some decent scoring, with Farmar, Azubuike and an improved Afflalo, and some good inside play with Haslem and Diop.

Chris Paul is better than Chauncey Billups, but since he controls the ball a lot more, Billups would be a much better fit with Kobe in the back court.

I like CP3 a great deal, but I think Billups would fit more with Kobe because Billups does not need the ball in his hands as much as CP3.

If I were to select a young point guard to play with Kobe, I would choose D. Williams. D. Will can play "Both" on the ball and off as he did for Team USA.

This team is built around 3pt shooting. Dwight Howard and Al Jefferson provide inside presence, drawing double teams and kicking out passes to hit open jumpers. Everyone else besides David Lee is a good 3pt shooter (at least 33%). There is a good combination of size and speed, allowing the team to run fast breaks, but their strength is the inside-out game. This is also a strong defensive unit, with a good selection of size, speed, rebounding, and shot blocking. The real weakness of the unit is at SG, where I used two rookies, though I'm high on both of them.
