With the team they have this year they can either get to the Conference Finals or Lose in Round 1 depending on who they are playing.

With that in mind, do you expect the Toronto Raptors to make it out of Round 1 this year?

I think to fully answer this you have to have an idea of what seed you think they will get this year.

They will get out of the first round (I hope So :D) if Oneal stays healthy

yes they now have 2 dominate forces down low and guys to kick to if its not open,
ie: parker kapano ( top 5 in 3pts last year )
plus bargnani

i expect to surprise and contend this year

It all depends on one man's knee.

So far what Oneal and Bargs have shown in camp i expect to make it to the 2nd round.

its an Equation

Healthy Jo= 3r to 5h seed = Maybe second round.

Somekind Unhealthy Jo= 7th 8th seed = First round kick out.

Completely unhealthy Jo= Lottery.

iM going with the second option

Healthy, then I think they'll get out of the first round.

Yes if O'neal is healthy, and they are a 4 5 or 6 seed, there are better teams than the raptors in the east but they still have a shot

i think for the raptors to make it out of the first round it depends on two things. Oneals knee and incase he does get injured,Bargnani's play. If one of them play well we will get out of the first round if both of them play well we will be contenders :) hopefully....

if they stay healthy they can get to the second round, 4th seed..

If they get the 4th/5th seed they have a chance. Otherwise no

No, I don't. I expect them to get a seed somewhere from 6-8 in the Eastern Conference. That leaves them to play Boston, Detroit, or Cleveland (IMO). I don't think Toronto could beat any of those teams.

Yes

Yes because of Bosh and O'neal.

not if they face the celtics

depends on O'Neals knee...and Bargnani's consistency....if O'neal can manage to play 60-70 games...and bargnani can play at a consistent level...Im crazy enough to say 2nd round or maybe the conference finals

I think they will go all the way to the East Finals

not if they face the celtics

they obviously won't genius celtics will be first seed and raptors will certainly not be eighth

Raps are garbage......IF they get to the playoffs NO they wil quickly be bounced in a sweep or 5 games.

I think they can make it out of the first round with or without Jermaine O'Neal but after that they will need O'Neal to be healthy.

Depends

We will be around 4-6 seed

If we face either Boston, Detroit(assuming they have the same roster from last season), or Cavs, they would have a small chance because they have good players at the 1/2/3 position and the raps do not have good defenders at the perimiter other than moon and parker and they cant contain Lebron, allen, peirce, billups, hamilton for the whole game. they also have a deep bench which the raptors dont have anymore

If we face Orlando or Sixers, they would have a more fair chance because it is more fairly matched

I know they lost to Orlando in the playoffs but now that they have O'neal, they would have a better chance of containing him. They wont completely stop him but they would decrease his points and rebounds

Sixers and Orlando's strenghts are the frontcourt position and the raps have O'neil Guarding the 5, Bosh guarding the 4 and moon/parker guarding the 3.

if we face orlando, Oneil guards howard, Bosh guards lewis and moon/parker guards turk(orlando doesnmt really have backcourt players that are big difference makers
other than Jameer so it would be ok for toronto)

If we face sixers, Oneil's guards dalembert, Bosh guards brand, Moon guards A.I, and parker can guard miller just so they can contain sixers backcourt(assuming than they dont start young). i dont think they would start thaddues young for the playoffs. i think theyll start willie green or williams and calderon can guard them but if not, then let calderon guard miller, parker guard A.I and moon guard thadeus young
