What do you guys think about him?
I think he is a good shooter and also a good clutch player and has a lot of talent

He has LOADS of talent, with Portland's core of Oden, Aldridge, and Roy that's just a championship waiting to happen.

He's a very good player, he's smart and is a good playmaker. He is definitely a star and his stock is on the rise.

Very Good Player, a Leader and the most liekely future of Portland.

Its going to be interesting to see who is winning the Battle, Roy , Fernandez or Bayless.

Only one of them can be the long time solution for sg for Portland.

This guy is a very complete player. Aside from his somewhat streaky 3-point shooting, he has no weaknesses...he will be a star for years to come.

I have a feeling that you made this thread just to hear people say Brandon Roy is a good player. I mean everyone knows he is a great player why even make this thread?

Brandon Roy is a young leader with loads of potential and a hard worker. He is also a "Provider."

DWill shoulda made the All-Star game over him. but at the time Portland was on there huge win streak so it only made sense. But what do I think of Broy..? Hmmm... He's a good player, he's not one of my favorite players, he plays kinda boring, he doesn't really have a unique style of playing so he doesn't really catch my attention.

My kind of player, awesome skills, effective shooting, makes his stats but thy are not the most importnatn for him, he is humble, he knows that some tiems is better to pass the ball, he doe snto hog the ball, he does not try to score 50 points a game on consecutive nights, he odes not make flamboyant statements in teh press nor doe he trashtalk rivals, he does not showboat.

he is GOOD and getting BETTER.

He is ging to be MUCH better than oj Mayo for example or than Gay but he will get less praise and will be less loved by fans because he is low profile, kind of a small Tim Duncan who sems to never be recognised in his full measuere becaus ehe isn not falshy.

Its a pity that He is going to spoil Fernedezs career because neither of them can Play good minutes at Sf or PG.

Awesome player with a well-rounded game. Probably overrated compared to other young stars because he's the best player on a team that's getting so much media attention lately.

I think he is a phenomenal talent. His shot is underrated. IMO he could be a future MVP if he takes the Blazers all the way in the future.

Great attitude!

Does almost everything right!

Bayless can be the PG b/c Roy can be the playmaker in half-court offense.

I love Brandon Roy...he is the guard counterpart of Duncan. Fundamentally sound, mature and gets the job done quietly. I just hope he can stay healthy...it's alarming how many times he has already been injured.

A more under control/less explosive Wade

Doesn't play as flashy, but can get the job done

I love him as a player. He's just fun to watch and he does everything. If the Raptors had drafted him..

i see him as an all star shooting guard maybe as good as penny was eventually.. but never a kobe or tmac type.. more along the lines of ray allen, vince carter, paul pierce type of stardom which is still really good. i really like him tho.. so i hope he does become a super star

You'd be crazy if Pierce and Lebron played SG but they play SF so no you're not crazy

He is part of the Big 3 in Portland with Aldridge and Oden.

He is a very special Player.
Portland fans have something to be proud of.
Hopefully he can lead them to the top one day.
I think he could do it especially with Oden/Aldridge/Bayless/Fernandez/Frye)
^^ I really miss Frye from the Knicks I thought he was going to be a special player after his rookie season.

He's not outstanding at anything.
He just does everything right, nothing that will jump out at you.

He's a very good player, and doesn't talk much like other players.

Ive always wondered why they called Duncan the big fundamental when he struggles so bad at the most fundamental aspect of basketball.

Whoever said Roy is 4th at Shooting Guard needs to be shot in the mouth

Joe Johnson, Mike Redd, AI, etc all better than him.

I didn't know this was a "hey guys let's overrate Brandon Roy" thread.

If it's his free throws you're talking about...he shot a respectable 73 percent last year...which is much better than in previous years.

Yes Mike Redd mr. "hey guys watch me lose us the game" is better than roy

Roy is definately better than Redd...better ball handler and defender. Redd is pretty one dimensional...a one way player. You could make a case for JJ and AI...but Redd? No way.

Ok maybe not Redd but Richard Hamilton is

Roy isn't top 5 IMO
