If you are trying to limit what Chris Paul does in the course of a NBA game, What player do you put on him to slow him down and take him out of the offense?

Note: You can only use 1 player and that player must defend him for the entire game.

i like the idea of marion, but he always plays poory vs dwill. idk if that is because dwills defense or if its his team as a whole tho

cp3 is crap. all about kobe

Let's just ignore this post altogether considering it has nothing to do with the thread. It's either someone trying to make Laker fans look ban or just a ******. Seriously, let this be the last reference to his post.

Anyway, Deron Williams

if not...

Devin Harris.

How can anyone NOT say D-WILL...every head 2 head mathcup they have D-Will comes out the better PG.

D.Harris is another good choice as well.

i would have to say kobe. just look at what he did in the olympics. he stopped everyone, why not paul?

Absolutely D-Will....as he has problems against him every game they have played.....

Lost Art

Kobe. If he's motivated, he can bother just about anyone........especially primary ball handlers.

I would put Chauncey Billups on him or maybe Kirk Hinrich.

PG match-up I would choose D-Will.

Any position, I would put Ron Artest on him.

I agree with you on the PG match-up. As 4 any position Marion, Artest, Battier. Length and Size advantages.

Best combination of length, timing, pick and roll + man defense in the league, his only weakness is his lack of strength but against CP3, thats not a problem

Rajon Rondo. He's physical and lightning fast. Causes problems on any PG.

That's a pretty obvious answer. Find the one guy who has effectively shut him down, and assume he can do it again. I agree with Deron Williams.

DWill or Rondo (as much as I hate to say it)

AK-47
10-11-2008, 01:46 AM
A lot of Jazz fans don't see how good CP3 is because when they play the jazz, CP3 doesn't impress as much since Dwill is guarding him.

So the easy answer to the question, is DWILL

Vinny642
10-11-2008, 01:48 AM
The only other person I'd put on Cp3 is DWill since he is the only one that proved he can defend him.

well from what I could see, I agree with everyone, it's Deron Williams.

Rajon Rondo is a really good PG defender as well, long arms, quick hands. Devin Harris is also quick enough to defend him.

AGREED But i would say may top 3 would be D will, rondo, and Devin harris

I believe the reason D WIll is so affective because he can really go at him on offense with post up and things like that. But personally i would choose Rondo though

Because they were completely alike but Cp3 numbers were better.

No I mean DW > Paul.
Paul has a much more talented team around him. On paper Paul is better defensively, but that's because he's a gambler on D. And Deron is much bigger so that's a big advantage.

Zefflin
10-11-2008, 04:48 PM
Well the obvious choice is Dwheels but I'd sic the Doberman on him...other than that for some reason I think Wade would play good D on him.

this arguement can go on for days but...
MORE TALENT???
people not me say-
boozer> west
ak47> peja
ronnie brewer> mo pete......
i dont but other seem to think that all hornets players are products of cp3, those jazz players arent products of williams, dwill can be bigger but no close to as fast cp3 is.

for pg id have to say rondo i think he would really upset cp3's game, rondos super quick and a great 1on1 defender, and at the ssame time he plays passing lanes better than any pg i can think of in the nba

Williams because he makes Cp3 play D all game, it lowers his productivity on offense, Williams size wears him down.

bogdanrom
10-11-2008, 07:51 PM
Jose Calderon

CP3 will kill him. Jose would be on the floor every time Paul gets the ball. Some people that could guard him are Shawn Marion, Kobe might, Devin Harris, Deron Williams, Jason Kidd could have when he was younger now probably not.

good call with Rondo. Rondo slows CP down alot when they played last year.

you put kobe on him thats what you do. or any other person in the nba who can walk
