The only tandem i'd want is T-Mac and Yao because they play for my team.

Tmac and Yao, the only thing keeping them from a championship is that they are never healthy at the same time, but if they were healthy for 2 years, it would mean 2 championships.

Wade and Bosh. Two consistent when healthy starters and all-stars. Covers two very crucial positions, and Bosh can somewhat play D. Wade is an explosive scorer. I'd take T-mac and Yao 2nd.

Kobe and Al Jefferson

I like Al Jefferson's game...he's one of the most underrated big men in the NBA, last season Al Jefferson was averaging 21 points and 11 rebounds a game and he only 23 years old, we already know what Kobe is gonna bring to the table so I don't have say anything about him.

KG and Deron for me.

Deron Williams and KG. All the combos mentioned could easily score a lot of points, but I think Williams and KG are the best defensively.

Kobe and Al Jefferson would be a nasty combination, I think if you surround Kobe with his current role players and Al Jefferson down low, they would be title contenders.

I'd rather have Kobe + Bynum or Pau than any of those. But Melo plus Dwight looks like the best one on the list.

If they had Al Jefferson, they would be title holders. He is one of the top 2-3 low post scorers in the NBA, hands down. He needs work defensively, but if he catches within 10 feet, and you don't double team, change the scoreboard.

cmellofan15

^ Yea but c'mon...Wade and Bosh sounds like a title contender if they used some role players from Toronto...

of course. I was simply stating if you replaced Gasol for example, with Al Jefferson, they most likely would have won it all. Jefferson is an unstoppable scorer in the low post. Pay attention to the Wolves this season. They suck defensively, so they won't make the playoffs, but putting 4 3pt shooters around Jefferson will open it up for him to destroy anyone single teaming him.
But yes, any of these combos, surrounded by good role players and good health, are contenders.

Yea big Al is one of my favs but since he's not good at D and his team's D is even worse of course they're going to blame it on him. Overall I think he's kinda underrated.

But anyways yea that would work b/c IMO I think Al did better at Center than Pau did..

I like the KG and D will. they can really play D and score easily. HOWEVER, I think Wade and Bosh would be the best tandem.
They can both play D
rebounds will be gathered just as easily
they can both score for themselves and they will make it easier for the other to score.
Plus, Wade has proven He can will his way to a ring. KG didnt will his way...pierce did.
Wade and BOsh still have room to grow. KG has peaked

Kobe and Al Jeff would be sick. I love Al Jeff's game, he reminds me of a poor man's Tim Duncan, just not as good of a post defender.

Both healthy? Wade and Bosh...

How soon people forget that Wade, LeBron and Kobe were mentioned in the same breath but two years ago. When Wade is fully healthy, he is a top 3 player in the game. Bosh is at least top 15.

They're going to be wearing the same uni's 2010.

Good point, sadly for you it will be in Toronto :)

...if only.

Sweet topic. Everyone has new teammates but T-Mac and Yao..hmm..

Anyways, my top 3 in no particular order:

Deron Williams and Kevin Garnett -- Probably the best defensive duo

Kobe and Al Jefferson -- Probably the best offensive duo

Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh -- I love Wade, I love Bosh, need I say more?

Wade and Bosh, for sure. My two favorite, non-Lakers hands down. Both are great and athletic players, and I can (with help from watching the Oylmpics) imagine then being pretty great together. Man that would be a sick combo.

I can't decide. I mean, really, give me:

TD+Bdiddy
KG+Deron Williams
Kobe+Al Jefferson
D-Wade+CB4
CP3+Dirk

DenButsu

Melo and Dwight, definitely. The D might be a bit soft, but there's not a frontcourt in the NBA that could defend that combo.

LeBron + Kwame Brown would do some serious damage. Seriously, pair him up with anyone and he'll do damage, let alone another superstar
