View Full Version : How would you guys rather watch a basketball game?

Although going to a basketball game once in awhile is awesome, I think I'd rather grab some beer and game food and just invite a bunch of friends over and watch it at home! That way, we can be as loud as we want, can eat and drink as much as we want without increasing our bar bill, and just have a good time. Then again, I say that because I bought me a 42" Vizio SV420XVT. Such a sweet tv to watch basketball games, and any other sport of that matter. And I've got surround sound, so that's why it's such a blast to watch it at home.

Basketball games are unbearable anymore.. Watch them at hope and crack open a beer.

Depends what kind of seats I have at the basketball game....Other then that, at home is where it's at...Bar occasionally!

The only games that matter are playoff games. I'll rather watch with a lot folks watching and having a barbecue or something.

i prefer at home because im a diehard who watched the one hr pregame then the one hr post game, a bbal lgame to me is a 4.5 hr event which is why i cant wait for the season, i do love to go to games but i can spread that out to teams i want to see or a great weekend outing once in a while, when i do go to the games i always feel i miss the post game interviews, specailly with my coach sam mitchel,, win or lose hearing him talk to media is PRICELESS

Depends who's playing. Also depends if it's a playoff, reg season, etc. game. I love watching it at home to because of the reasons he said. ^

I prefer at home...because I have to get expensive plane tickets if I want to see the NBA live. I have been to a live game once in Toronto...and it was splendid however. But I guess I'm gonna have to settle for waking up in the middle of the night to watch most games.

If at the game, the seats need to be pretty good.

If at Home with friends, depends on which ones.

Bar, If im not by myself.

Radio sucks Though

X2. I'd always rather go to a game live, there's nothing like it. But with a nice big TV some beer and bomb food with some close good fans and that's always fun. You can't really discuss the game when your there because of the noise.

Watching at home. Too damn lazy to actually go to one.

I usually get 3rd row seats across from the Sixers bench at the Wachovia Center...so I definitely have a better time at the game. I've also sat in the nosebleed section, which if it's not a playoff game or a sellout, is not really worth it. Unless it's a game with a playoff atmosphere or really good seats, I'd rather be at home. But nothing compares to being in that building in a playoff game, no matter where you sit.

or if the seat are really good I'll go to the game

10-07-2008, 01:43 PM

I had to.

i love going to the games. we get great seats every game we go to. worst seats i've sat in was like 10th row mid-court.

10-07-2008, 05:40 PM
Nothings better than having arena level seats to a game, college or pro. I'll always choose being there live over tv.

10-07-2008, 05:45 PM
at the game, nuthin like it

10-07-2008, 05:45 PM
Watch at home, wont cost $50 per ticket + $20 for parking.

10-07-2008, 05:52 PM
In order:

At the game, in any seats that actually have a view.

At home with (select) friends, and my Tivo

At a bar, once again with (select) friends

Radio would be last, but isn't the worst thing ever, it works if you're driving.

Other, what other could there be? Other places to watch it on tv not listed above?

What kind of fan actually prefers to watch a game at home??!!

My bad... Hawks fans obviously! That is one empty dump!

Gotta love going to the Raptors, always jam packed and a good time.
