Wow!

I hate the Lakers, I also hate all the hype around Bynum. However, I have respect for hard work and if someone had some stuff like this around the Rockets i'd like them to give it up. Check out how Bynum has become.

As was pointed out in another thread, Steroyds and Unending Gym Sessions can build your body as a monster.

C'mon. I respect the fact that Bynum's worked hard to improve, but given the dozens of other threads committed to the guy, do we really need another one just to compare how much size he's put on in two years?

now the question should be... is he gonna use his body the right way!!! Is he gonna dominate????? IMO he's being hyped up way too much!

idk if you seen bynum in his rookie year,2004-2005 he was in no shape whats so ever.compared to this year he looks totally diffrent,he had the fro going in hes rookie year. There has been so much hype involving andrew bynum cuase in my books he deserves it,he left off playing pretty well and impressive before he injured his knee so i think he deserves the respect he earned.guys who talk about bynum aying he isn't going to be something special person and that means a all-star and even a superstar you guys are wrong.idk if you guys have watch him play every game in 07-08 before he was injured not to brag but he really dominated his side of the court.dude would dunk over guys amare, okafor and really just dunk on anything that would be close to him he would slam it home.

YOu're probably joking but, this picture was on the Lakers website.

The kid looks huge compared to even last season. You can see it in his arms and face....He still has chicken legs tho. I cant wait to see the season opener of Oden vs Bynum.

In an interview I heard him say that he has been working on a 17-20 ft jumper....If he develops that watch out league!!! The main thing is going to be if the added strength and girth allow him to not give up position in the paint like last year.

I think the kid is going to be a nightly double double this season averaging around 15-20 pts per game and 10-14 rebs. with a shooting percentage of 60%. with 2.2-3.2 blocks per game.

Yeah, it's another Bynum thread, but this one has merit unlike some of the others.

It's takes a lot of hard work and dedication to go from slim to "Hulk"

Good for him.

Sometimes I overestimate the intelligence of Americans.
Anybody who comes into the league as a 17 year old is going to grow, but since it's a Lakers player, we are making a huge deal about it.

yeh, admittedly, he's gotten a lot bigger and better, but i wouldn't go as far as to say he's the next Shaq. He may be a soid 15-10 guy in his career, but i doubt he becomes too much more, maybe 18-12 at the most in his prime especially since he's with Kobe so he isnt gonna average over 20 unless they get rid of Kobe.

He has changed a lot in a short period of time. He went from fat to skinny to bulk. But you have to think he is young so his body will go through this changes plus I heard he's very dedicated and very hard worker.

It's not overrating Bynum to say that he's gotten significantly bigger since he's come into the league and even since his first GOOD season (or half season).

Oh, we have a smart guy..

Since you don't know what you are talking about, Bynum was fat when he came into the NBA, lost weight last year and bulked up this year, Im pretty sure you can't bulk up sitting on your butt all day..

Wouldn't you expect the body of an 18 year old in professional sports to get bigger when they have to go against bigger guys?

sure, but it shows his work ethic to get better.. He was told to lose weight, and he did.. Later he was told to bulk up, and he did now..

Its called work ethic and you gotta give it to him, he is determined to be better, even if he doesn't become better than a 14/10/2 player in his career, I will always appreciate his work ethic and optimism..

but averaging that much in 28 minutes does not hurt either ;)

dude chill. all the guy did was make a post saying that bynum got bigger, and because of it you doubt your own estimation of american intelligence? pathetic.

Bynum is like a baby shaq

I saw Shaq up close when he was 19, and he was far bigger than Bynum is now. 7'1", 310 lbs at 19. Gigantic. Bynum doesn't have the frame to get that huge. And in Shaq's prime he was around 330

he has gained a lot of weight, but his game doesn't require him to put on mass amounts of muscle. He actually has basketball skill. And I don't think you will find a harder worker in the NBA than Mr Garnett
