“I feel good,” said Allen, who struggled at times last season coming back from left knee surgery. “I’m all right, ready to attack the season.”

Now, with James Posey departed and playing time readily available, Allen clearly is in “attack” mode

Good. Don't try and have him running the PG spot, and hopefully with his knee healed up, he'll be back in the star form he was pre-injury.

For reference, in the two months before he got injured...
16.5 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 2.8 APG, 2.2 SPG and .4 BPG, on 54% shooting.

Those are some awesome stats.. Just imagine that coming off our bench...

Yea, I'm really cheering for him.

I don't think Tony will ever produce that kind of numbers again. Tony would be better than last year, for sure, but we can't expect him to be a 16ppg/5rpg player anymore.

sky's the limit for tony.....play good solid defense and attack the hoop strong. and if we get a solid jumpshot EVEN BETTER.

I am glad we stuck with him.

Didn't mean to suggest that he would, just pointing out that he's capable of big things.

No, tony wont ever get 16.5 with us again. He got those numbers when pierce went down. He was getting 40 minutes a game. I would just love to see 8-10 ppg off the bench. But mainly, be that offensive spark when allen/pierce go to the bench.

I think you need to keep in mind there was no Pierce, Allen or Garnett during this production. I do think he could emerge(if healthy) as the best player off the bench.

Even if he's 80% of Posey's D, his explosiveness on offense will make him an even better fill in for Ray and Paul. What Pose gained us on D, exposed us on O when we had to run a half court set without Paul. Tony has never been afraid to attack the hoop which is a skill 2/3, or more, of the NBA doesn't really have. If Tony's knee is better than last year, which it should be, then I feel he will shine this season and will easily be our top 6th man!!!

My only pesimism coming into the season will be a back up at the 4 and 5. God help us if either KG or Perk goes down for any amount of time. Who knows.... maybe PJ will come back again with a month left in the season!!

25 points on 6-7 shooting with 13-16 FTs and 3 steals last night. I'm convinced.
