One of my favorite Kings players of all-time. That dude was exciting back in the day. I can't believe he retired so early. And with a contract in L.A. on the table, too.

Here's a tribute;

A great passer; sometime a bit out of control but always creative. I'll always remember Jwill for sprinting up the floor and shooting a quick 3pointer before his bigs even had a chance to cross center court. He was a good player though.

Man if the Magic didn't get Anthony Johnson, we would have gotten Williams, but that is kinda weird that he retired at the same time.

Too early but he's leavin w/ a legacy and he basicly created his own pass (elbow pass).

Yeah, that was my favorite. The elbow pass. He called it in the media and then he did it in a game. Kinda like Babe Ruth calling his shot.

He has/had one of the best ball handling/passing abilities I have ever seen. Only if he knew how to control himself b/c he could have been very special player

Here's a link to an article from the LA Times. I seems like his retirement caught just about everyone off guard. I thought he had knee problems, mabey even some form of arthritis?????? I could be wrong though

I will never forget the way he abused Gary Payton in that clip. I think one of the best crosses i have ever seen imo

My second-favorite J-Will play to the elbow pass. Gary Payton was a defensive legend at the point, widely considered as the best defensive PG of all-time. And J-Will crossed him up like it was nothing.

Yeah, they tamed J-Will a little bit in Memphis. And then a little bit more in Miami. But when he was in Sacramento, he was Unchained J-Will. He took people apart.

Thinking about it, I feel genuinely bad for Clippers fans. They signed J-Will with high hopes of having a good ball-handler as back-up and now they don't even get to see him play.

It'll be especially bad if Baron Davis goes down with the injury that you know has to be coming sooner or later.

He brought a level of excitement to the Memphis point guard position that hasn't been seen since.....no one really knew which JWill would show for a game. When he was on, was he on! I loved the 3's he could rain...he loved to hear the buzz of the crowd when he was about to uncork one....yeah, I miss the good JWill.
