I didn't bother posting the Top 20 PG list because, well, it was just that bad. This list isn't any better but at least they got the top 2 right... I'm still putting Duncan above Paul but that's me. It's debateable. The list is garbage but I thought the top 50 would be a nice topic of discussion.

Baron Davis, Elton Brand, Brandon Roy, Carlos Boozer, David West, Al Jefferson, Allen Iverson, even Josh Smith, Ron Artest, Andre Iguodala, Kevin Martin? 12. D Wade You mean to tell me there are 11 better players than D Wade

27. Greg Oden how can someone be ranked as one of the best in the league but has yet to play a single game

50. Ron Ron i really dnt personally like him but u cant say there are 49 players in the league better than him though

The numbers are different easily because of their different systems... U tell me Paul will avg. what he does with Sloan... Dwill would have the same or better numbers then Paul in NO..... Paul gets most his assist on ally-opps to Chandler!!! LOL :D

Paul is a far better penetrator than Williams. And a better pure passer. Williams is a better shooter, so Sloan's system is perfect for him. Both coaches would adjust to the strengths and weaknesses if given one or the other. I prefer Paul slightly, he is just a better playmaker.

yes I would take Al Jefferson over bynum. Not Gilbert Arenas anymore nore would i take Vince Carter.

But how is he over Brandon Roy (all star), Carlos Boozer (all star/olympian), Elton Brand (mr 20-10...something that Bynum hasnt averaged...yet), Allen Iverson, Manu Ginobili???

Like are u serious?

Bynum has the POTENTIAL to be better than these guys, but he hasnt done S H I T yet, so its crazy thats he should be ranked 17th, id say 40th AT best, and to say otherwise is complete and utter homerism.

Oh yeah, you know Thaddeus Young averaged 14 and 8 in the playoffs, boy that means he should be 20th on this list cus he had good averages for part of a season.

Bynum is, to them "offensively well ahead of dwight howard." Again....ROLFCOPTER. Is this article serious?

He is...Have you ever seen Dwight Howard on offense when he is NOT dunking the ball? It is like watching something really bad about to happen, but there is nothing you can do about it. Bynum has actual low post skills. I am not saying he is the better player, but he is a better on the low-post. Howard solely relies on his athleticism to score.

SeoulBeatz

i get it laker fans, i know bynum has the potential to be #17 on this list, but does he deserve it right now? NO. Absolutely not.

He hasnt proven anything and has only had 1/2 of a solid season so far in his career.

Does this mean O.J Mayo should be #1 on this list because he has the POTENTIAL to be the next Kobe? Absolutely not.

There is no way to defend Bynum bein the #17 best player in the NBA ahead of Manu, Gilbert, Brand, Roy, Boozer, hell even Marion, West, J Smoove, Caron Butler, Antawn Jamison, Allen Iverson, Ron Artest.

Thats just straight ludcirous

ttam68
09-27-2008, 05:52 PM
The list isn't who's the best, its "Who would you rather have?" The fact is, most fans (and probably most gms) would take a decent low post scorer, with great rebounding skills, and statistically the 6th best shot blocker, over some proven scorers or all-stars. Even without factoring potential into the equation, Bynum's placement isn't bad.

Anyway, lists like this are just opinion. Of course everyone won't agree. I don't think its perfect but it isn't garbage either.

It says on the top, "Who would you rather have?" I'm guessing that this is also based on age and potential as well as currently, which makes Bynum at 17 somewhat understandable though not entirely. Bynum averaged 15 and 11 as a starter last year and is 20 years old with loads of potential. "Who would you rather have?" I'm guessing the author of this ranking was thinking that he'd rather have a true center with this much potential as well as immediate impact on his team rather than an older player with no potential and just a little more immediate impact. That is just my guess.

Kobe 35 PG

Regardless of whether I agree with your idea of Bynum's production, these numbers you assign to the Lakers are way off.

Kobe: 28-30
Gasol: 17-19
Odom: 14-16
Fisher: 8-12

I personally would put Bynum down for 15ish, but he could go off for 20. If he plays that good, they will make room for him.

ttam68
10-02-2008, 12:56 PM
The Lakers will try to play through Bynum just like any team would go to its most efficient player. Plus, he gets offensive rebounds. Bynum will get 15-18 ppg.

Kobe: 27-30
Pau: 16.5 - 19.5
Odom: 11.5 - 14.5
Bynum: 15 - 18
Others: 20 - 25

Thats 100 ppg. And nice analogy about girls...sorry if they make you cry.

Not a Wade fan.. Always thought he was overrated but he's definatly the #4 over Duncan. And since when was Amare better than KG? Also take Carmelo 'the most overated player in sports' Anthony out of the top 15. Honestly who would you rather have, Melo or Manu? At least Manu plays a lil D.

Bynum is definatly top 15 in the league. Non-believers will soon see. He will be the undiputed most dominant center in the next two years. Over Ming(soft), Howard (no reliable offense), and Stoudamire (6-10)

i wouldnt put bynum at 17 and i am a lakers fan lol. BUT you gotta remember this is a "who you'd rather have?" situation.... not who is the best...i could understand wanting a guy like bynum at 17 or oden at 27 or whatever he was at... they arent in the top 30 players in the nba but they have very high potential. i could understand it from that perspective.

I don't know how u expect this year Bynu scoring more then 13 points per...

Kobe 35 PG
Gasol 24 PG
Odom 20 PG
Fisher 12 PG
Sasha 10 PG
Farmer 10

i'm no math wiz but this team won't avg 130 ppg.. everyone has him down for 20 ppg...
LOL... not enough touches with KOBE!!![/QUOTE]

first off kobe will not average 35... remember what he averaged last season??? 28... pau will not get 24 a game... last season... 18... odom will not average 20... last season 14... ya 14!!!!!!! fisher wont get 12. his minutes are gonna go down... id say 6 cuz hes gonna have so many weapons... same with farmar... sasha will have about 9 to 12... oh and guaranteed that kobes assists go up this season... everyone will get there touches...

The Lakers will try to play through Bynum just like any team would go to its most efficient player. Plus, he gets offensive rebounds. Bynum will get 15-18 ppg.

Kobe: 27-30
Pau: 16.5 - 19.5
Odom: 11.5 - 14.5
Bynum: 15 - 18
Others: 20 - 25

Thats 100 ppg. And nice analogy about girls...sorry if they make you cry.

Yeah...Girls do make me cry... W/e I know Men make u cry... 15-18... that's average!!! how does 15-18 points put him over them other superstars??? He didn't even make the Allstar team... and I could name other big man who avg. more points and rebs.. that are ranked lower then him..
