Maybe KG and the Celtics can repeat

or CP3 if they can get there.

If we're talking about this upcoming season, probably Kobe or CP3 have the best shot. I'd like to see Lebron or Wade pull it off in the future though.

Kobe Bryant probably has the best shot at doing this.

The players with the best chance are, Kobe and Lebron. Kobe has a great chance this year to win both.

You'd have to say that Kobe, Chris Paul, and LeBron are the only players who could do it in the near future. One of the Celtics Big 3 won't win regular season MVP, because of how even and great they are as teammates. If Kobe or Pauls team record made them eligible for MVP, they are for sure the player on their given team who will get the MVP. You could argue LeBron, but I just dont see the Cavs finishing high up enough in the standings for him to bring it home.

Essentially, who are the clear and obvious alphas on given championship contenders, who will finish with a top 1-5 record. Kobe, and Paul.

IMO Kobe and CP3 have the best chance this year.

LeBron James' entire career is his prime. Whenever he gets to the Finals again it will probably be after an impressive regular season; possibly of an MVP-caliber. Come playoffs time, he will carry whatever team into the finals, and always be the most important player. It looks to be LeBron as the next double MVP.

LeBron James and Kobe Bryant

The Cavs have to make the Finals for Lebron to get MVP (very unlikely IMO)...

Anyways, the most likely players to get it next are either Kobe or CP3. Both players are MVP candidates and both players are on great teams.

What's with all the Lebron love I don't think he will make it to the Finals anytime soon w/ the Big 3, Elton Brand to Philly, Toronto w/ JO, and not to forget Orlando's only getting better and Detroit are always up there

No I can be a bigger homer!

Carmelo will win Mvp, the scoring title and defensive player of the year

He will also take George Karl's place and be the starting small forward and coach.

He will also win Coach of the Year and take the Nuggets to the Finals by himself and trade Iverson for a pack of Big League Chew..

Yehh, i agree that's kinda what i was thinking too. Seems like the most logical scenario for the future also, but I'd probably throw Paul into the mix for the future also.

It doesn't seem like to would be too rare because generally the regular season MVP is on a championship level team so when they win he'd naturally get finals MVP. As soon as LeBron gets a good team around him, he'll win 60 games and regular season MVP then win finals mvp

Kobe, Paul and Garnett are all great players on teams very capable of winning so if I had to bet, it would be on one of those three.

Hakeem also won defensive player of the year, to go along with MVP and Finals MVP. Thats only been done a few times that I know of.
