Hah. Stephon is really feeling the pain in the economy. What % of his net worth is $45 million I wonder. That's a lot even for a pro athlete.

Hey, if he can afford it, good for him. I don't see why you guys are bashing on him.

Personally, I don't think he can do it, as he probably is VERY close to retirement, and cannot find a job. And I'm sure he's bought several houses over the years, some ferraris, some lambos, etc. Most NBA players are bankrupt after 10 years.

But if he can pay it, what's the problem?

Not very smart-this will probably come back to bite him in the rear.

How much has he made total as an NBA player? I would guess 1/4 million before taxes, including endorsements. I don't see how he can possibly spend this kind of money on a product that will require expensive upkeep and depreciate heavily over time. Unless he's made way more than I think he has this looks like a horrible decision.

Thats why he wants to play in Europe, when he retires from the NBA

You really think that in his whole career he's only made 250,000 dollars?

hasnt he been making 20 mill for the past few years
and hes always commanded close to 10 mill
and he's making a fortune off of his clothing line
and he probly hit on an investment

they dont just let 20 mill sit in the bank they have people invest it to try and make them more money

he probly pay that off in the next ten years and when you think of it like that its not that much to someone in his spot

now when he retires and he goes to europe he'll probly get 15 to 20 mill a yr again plus tons of endorsements i can see him going to italy to try and get a shoe or mens clothing endorsement

Not sure the $19 Starburys and all the $9 shirts are exactly raking in the cash, especially since Steve & Barry's just filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.

But he is paying for almost half of the jet with this years salary, which is why he won't negotiate a buyout of his contract.

He better not follow in Pippen's footsteps and get himself in debt for buying a plane.
