It seems as if the Spurs have been written off. Do you all think the Spurs have enough talent around Duncan to make it to the finals? If not, what should they do to enhance their team?

The Spurs have been the ONLY team worth fearing in the West. Outside of them (with much due respect to the Lakers) no one else in that conference has won ANYTHING post Shaq era. The Spurs are the only team to win anything in the past 10 years in the West (Outside of the Shaq/Kobe era).

Rebu.... mmmmm Retool .

Parker is Young and a Leader you can Build over him and make him the Franchise guy, Duncan still has some game for 4 or 5 years but as the secondary guy ( Kind of when Kareem put himself on the second line and let Magic run the show).

They need to go younger and add at least a third All-star like player.

Manu is getting old fast and this injury is not helping.

The should try to Trade him for a Younger Player and a Pick on the 10-15 Neighbourhood.

I would also Explore What a Desperate candidate for the title could offer for Defensive Specialist Bowen , For Example SUNS or Mavericks.

They Already Have an Ace Upon the Sleeve and its called Tiago Spliter, he will come to the Nba in a year or Two and he is going to take the league BY storm, So just get a new younger Sg and Sf and they are set to contend again.

Parker,X,X,Duncan,Splitter.

If the Spurs can stay healthy they will be the top team

If they can stay healthy and if Pop limits there veterans minutes they will continue to be a threat come playoffs. Never count them out.

The Spurs will end the season with around 58 wins and will make it past the first round as usual. They aren't forgotten, just really boring to talk about.

I think the Lakers, Rockets, Hornets(surprisingly how good they got so fast) all have legit chances of making the finals.

They stay quiet throughout the season and make noise in the playoffs. I guess it's to keep them focused and not get all hyped up in the media.

I dont think they could beat the Lakers to the finals but they're definitely western finals material

Spurs have a great chance still, but they haven't added anyone to their team like they have in past years.

It's all about staying healthy. That will be troublesome, though.

Oh I agree but the spurs are the only ones worth really worrying about. The others have successful seasons but that's about it.....

The Lakers are a good team but they're not a GREAT team (Yet). They haven't done anything since Shaq....not one thing.

Gotta love them Spurs. So consistant, can't count them out, until Mr.Duncan leaves town.

You can NEVER write the Spurs off. And that is the honest to god truth. They are the best team of the past 10 years by a nice margin. You can never count Pop and Duncan out. They know what it takes to make it to the promised land.

Laker fans need to remember Manus health during the WCF. The Lakers are the better team, but it is much closer than that series made it out to be. The Spurs deserve respect for being the best team in the NBA over the last decade. I do think they need a trade, they need another big man to deal with Gasol/Bynum, West/Chandler.
I wouldnt have wanted them in the first round. (Wasnt that great, Pheniox vs. S.A. in the first round!?) We got very lucky, no disrespect to Denver or Utah, but we had it easy.

Don't know about that. 10 years would be '98. The Spurs have won 4 and been in the championship 4 times since '98. The Lakers have won 3 and been in it 5 times since '98.

It isn't a nice margin when it comes to titles or apperances in the last 10 years at all.

Have the Spurs fallen off at any time since their first championship? Not at all. They have been the best and most CONSISTENT team in the National Basketball Association for the past ten years. That point cannot be argued. You are arguing a completely moot point.

Nobody has forgotten about them, their just getin older and not a very fun team to watch. lol US Suns fans most certainly know their our biggest obstacle to face this season and finally get them off our backs. Top 4 in the west. I dont seem em making it the the Finals though. WCF maybe.

yo sixer lover is right the lakers had theone year they didn't make the playoffs hum i don't think the spurs made the playoffs in 98 so both have one non playoff year and they both made the playoffs every other year.
