What postion do they need is a glaring weakness

Seems a bit too early to tell, but probably a defensive back. The secondary seems to be a weakness again. Not really sure who the free agents are though.

I thought it would be o-line

i mean there o-line is not like last year Matt Light cant stop fast DE, Logan Mankins and Dan Koppen are great O-Lines, Stephen Neal is injury prone, and Nick Kaczur is way to inconsistent

Stop creating these threads. You overreact so much. There are 13 more games this season. Holy ****!

I'll bite.

#1 - LT (move Light to RT)
#2 - TE (Watson always hurt, position not deep)
#3 - ILB (Bruschi was exposed constantly today, his time is up, need another Mayo)
#4 - S (Harrison finally will be gone, Sanders gets pushed back too much, need another hitter)
#5 - P - want a stud kid.

Agree that they need a tackle.

Would like to see Thomas get a more prominent role before we spend a significant draft pick on a TE.

Agree on ILB.

I think Harrison's void gets filled (hopefully) by just turning Meriwether loose.

Matt Light. He is above average. But he only possesses decent strength for a LT. He can get beaten by any speed rusher or power end.

I wouldn't go that far. Matt Light is a multi-time Pro Bowler. Granted, eventually players break down, but I still think that he's a competant offensive lineman.

Thomas is as hurt as Watson. The Pats use #1 picks for DL, and then TE most often. I doubt they will resign Watson after '09, and IMO he will get good money, and he isn't worth it.

Merri will make up for Harrison to a large extent, but Harrison is a HoF (even if he never gets in). More to the point we need an upgrade over Sanders, who was very soft yesterday.

Light is a good/real good player today. Two years from now health willing, he'll be at RT, after our new LT drafted in the 1st round learns the game at RT next year, and then they switch. It's a good way to get an upgrade at two positions, at least for a year or two.
