Detroit gets:
F-Shawn Marion
F/C-Zaza Pachulia
(Players leaving: Antonio McDyess, Chauncey Billups)

Atlanta Gets:
F/C-Antonio McDyess
G-Marcus Banks
(Players leaving: Zaza Pachulia, Speedy Claxton)

Miami gets:
G-Chauncey Billups
G-Speedy Claxton
(Players leaving: Shawn Marion, Marcus Banks)

Miami makes deal because...
-They get a solid veteran PG that'll get them back into the post-season
-They get rid of Marion because he makes the lineup complicated since they acquired Beasley because they're both the same type of player

Detroit makes deal because...
-They make a BIG change in getting rid of their PG (to make room for Stuckey to be the starter) for a high-energy player that will help them on the fast-break (Marion)
-They get a solid big man to fill in for McDyess (Zaza)
-Marion also has an expiring contract so if Joe Dumars dont like how the chemistry is working, he lets him go and gets a high-profile free-agent from all the money he got from Marion's expired contract.

Atlanta makes deal because...
-They get rid of a horrible contract (Claxton)
-They get a young team some veteran leadership in acquiring McDyess

I think its a fair trade for all 3 teams. The best thing for Miami is to trade Marion now, which they did, and Detroit shakes things up a bit by making a big change in their roster, and helping get ready fro the long-term by getting a younger FA to help Maxiell and Stuckey in the future. Atlanta gets a veteran in the locker room by adding Mcdyess, and Claxton's contract is finally gone.
It fills all 3 teams needs, and is pretty fair.

Thoughts??

thats a pretty even deal but the only thing i would change is sending claxton to detroit and pachulia to miami. This is because if detroit trades billups they need a backup pg which claxton will be. Also if pachulia comes to miami he will be the center their and with billups being their point guard. Once you do this i think its a pretty even trade.

Fair treade as far as talent goes but not fair as to what the linups after words would be

Detroit now has no PG, except the one guy they are SO HIGH ON.

They have 2 defensive SF.

Unless they go for a small-ball lineup.

Marion
Prince
Hamilton
Stuckey

agreed. i don't know why people call Beasley and Marion same type of players. One is made for offense, one for defense. Great compliment to each other. I want to keep Marion, at least for this year

depends on what altanta would give us

We would want a YOUNG good talent at Center or Point guard, not over the hill expensive talent, we are rebuilding
