How will they do this year? Do you all think they should break the core of that team up? Was it a mistake to fire Flip Saunders? Should they have brought in Avery Johnson? Thoughts...

Michael Curry. He was an assistant for a few years under Flip. He also with the Pistons in the early 2000's.

They will make playoffs again but might not get past the first round

They'll be a force to be reckoned with like the past few years. I wouldn't count them out, but I honestly don't seem them making it past the conference finals... and that's if they even get that far.

They still have a good group of players with good chemistry.

Their not winning it all, which for them is all that matters. Probably get to the 2nd round. Still good players and all, but I wouldn't be surprised if Sheed gets traded before the deadline.

Sheed and McDyess should be moved and young guys should be cultivated before the other 3 get any older.

Well it all depends on how Detroit feels. If they feel they can still contend for that title, they won't be trading either of those players.

I think Joe Dumars and the rest of the Pistons honestly feel they have a legitimate chance to get that title. If that's the case, they'll hope for Jason Maxiell and Rodney Stuckey to improve and hope the rest of the vets keep on playing at a high level. They're still a force to be reckoned with.

I can see them being a 3rd or 4th seed in the East... and probably an early playoff exit. Avery Johnson would have been an upgrade over Flip Saunders if you ask me

Bold prediction: The Pistons will not be top 4 in the East.

^^^^ I couldn't agree more and to add onto that I predict Cleveland wins that division this year.

East is more competitive so I think this may be the end of them this year. I'm predicting a 1st round upset.
