Hey everyone, we will be continuing the series to find a true top 10 list at each position. We are on onto the CENTERS... Chanlder won the 6th spot just ahead of Shaq, Will Shaq take this one easily or will it be close.

Like I said before, I will add more players to the list as soon as we put another guy on the top 10 list.

PS: Please do not start any threads with the same title. I am capable of conducting the polls and completing the series of threads to find the top 10 players at each position. If I need some help I will ask for it. Thanks for your time.

An updated list of the polls we have completed can be found here..

1) Dwight Howard
2) Yao Ming
3) Al Jefferson
4) Andrew Bynum
5) Chris Kaman
6) Tyson Chandler
7) Shaquille O'Neal

A Quick Note: This is a poll for who is the best center, not which center has the best potential. The best centers in the league as of right now. Thanks.

MCC, I applaud your efforts but this list is awful. Bynum #4 for 35 games of 13/10? Tyson Chandler #6 for catching alley oops from the best PG in the league? Chris Kaman MIGHT be reasonable, but he was the only player on his team last year and it might be hard to gauge his talent on one all-star calibre year.

Andrew Bogut dude is a beast

He should have a much better season this year. I think the motivation of being on a contending team in the east will push him back into his old form. Or at least close to it.

Jermaine O'neal

Jermaine belongs a lot higher. This list isn't very accurate, but it's all subjective. Take a look at the list at the end of the year and see how it all panned out. I think the list should be:

1. Howard - No arguing this one
2. Ming - Or this one
3. Kaman - Played really well with Brand, not just when Brand was out
4. Shaq - Not the old Shaq, but he is still one of the scariest players to defend.
5. Jefferson - Still improving, but he has proven that he belongs in the top 5
6. Bynum - Hasn't played well for a full season yet. If he plays an entire season like he played his last 20 games or so last season, he will move up into the top 5.
7. J.O'Neal - Has a lot to prove health wise, but if healthy he could be a top 3-5 center this season.
8. Chandler - Great defender and is the perfect role player on the offensive end.
9. Camby - Same as Chandler but Chandler is younger and stronger
10. Bogut - Has good skills but barely makes it into the top 10 in my opinion.

I'm sure I'll look at this later and want to make some changes, but I think it's a pretty accurate list.

8.Jermaine O'neal
9.Marcus Camby
10.Zydrunas Ilgauskas

In '05-'06 Jermaine averaged 20.1ppg, 9.3rpg, 2.4apg, 2.6bpg in 69 games.

Camby is overrated beyond beleif, he is a great ebounder, medeoker offensive player and good defensive player, not a great one, his low post defense is not great and how the hell are you only to average 9 points in one of the best offenses in Denver. O'Neal is the obvious choice here

09-18-2008, 04:16 PM
Camby, JO if he stayed healthy.

09-18-2008, 04:23 PM

Andrew Bogus

don't know why the hell al jefferson is there, i'd switch that spot to Z.

He is there because he started at 74 games at center for the Wolves, and averaged 21-11. He is #3, rightly so.

09-18-2008, 08:09 PM
JO, yes im being the biggest homer

09-18-2008, 08:11 PM
JO or camby.

Marcus Camby: I dont know any other centre that has gotten a triple-double more than once with points, rebounds, and assits. He runs the fast-break system like a SF, and throws up alley-oops like a PG. But doesnt have post-game, and is a horrible 1-on-1 defender.

JO: Has to prove a lot with his health issues. Otherwise a beast! Great interior toughness, defence, and presence. Got one of the best post-up games. Has a nice jump-shot. Plays well D. The only problem is the health issues, hes bin ok health wise 'till last year.

Gotta give it up to JO.

Bogut is one of the best true centers in the league.

I think Dalenbert. There's not much he isn't good at. Good interior scorer, great rebounder and defender. He's really the only guy on the list you can say that about.
