Who do you guys think is the most underrated superstar in the league? My pick is Tim Duncan because without Shaq, he will have 7 or 8 Championships. More than Jordan. But still managed to have 4.

I went with Kakeem lol. I thought he was one of the best centers of all time. He was athletic and had nice post up moves. Then again, I was extremely young when he was playing with the Rockets so most of what I know is from videos on NBA TV and sportscentury and from my dad. However, about Duncan. Without Robinson, Parker, and Manu, Duncan would have 0 championships...but then again you can say that about pretty much any player including the best-MJ.

For real why is yao in the list i actually think Yao is Overrated, just because he cant play a full season. And when he is he cant get out of the first round.

The Big Fundamental

I've gotten into arguments at school with people that don't even think he is a Hall of Famer. It can't get much more underrated than that.

Don't you have to be a Superstar to be an Underrated Superstar? Get Yao off the list. Karl, TIM-MAY & Kakeem the Kream are all in a different class.

Saying Shaq took away some of Duncans titles is like saying Raheem Elijah-Juan took titles away from Shaq when he was with the Magic. That being said, my pick still is TD

tim duncan is constantly named the best power forward in nba history... i don't see him as underrated except by those who don't know basketball at all...

and after reading PSD threads its clear people appreciate kakeem...

thats why im gonna have to go with karl malone... maybe the most powerful man to play basketball he's a ring away from being the best power forward of all time...

I voted for the Mailman. The Dream got tons of recognition, and TD is always referred to as the best PF ever, so I have to go with Malone. Not to mention how great he is, which he really was.

Sam Bowie.
Like ESPN's article said. He's not an HOF'er but the guy had a solid NBA career. He will only be known the the guy who was picked over MJ. His career was based on that.

Yao Ming has like 300 million people watch his games. He's a superstar, just not here. If he didn't have to play for the Chinese National Team each summer, he might actually have a full, healthy season and dominate everybody not named Dwight.

I'd have to go with Byron Scott. People will always say that he was carried by players like Worthy, Magic, and Jabaar. The Pacers got him at the tail end of his career, and he was still amazing. He is a born leader, a clutch shooter, and he understood basketball on every level. He is a natural coach.

But if I had to pick a player on the list, I'd go with Malone. The emergence of Duncan overshadowed Malone's Hall of Fame career. In his 19 year career he only averaged less than 20ppg in his first year and his last year, he only averaged less than 8.3 rebounds once, averaged a 21+/10+ double double 10 times (it would have been 12 but he was short a total of 24 rebounds in two seasons), and besides his half year with the Lakers, he only missed 10 games. In 18 years. He holds a career high of 61 points in 1990, his fifth year in the league.
