View Full Version : pitching woes

in tonight's game, gil meche got lit up pretty good. i also noticed(yes, i watched the game) the pitches he was getting lit up on were fastballs right down the middle. :speechless:

why is this happening? is this pitching, catcher's game-calling, coaching or what? greinke and meche are among the league-leaders in strikeouts, and before tonight meche was 3rd in the american league in e.r.a. since the all-star break.

are we slacking in our preparations...our scouting? i cant feel we have a talent issue with the starters we have. do we not do enough in mixing up the locations and speed? is this a coaching issue with our staff, or our catchers? what do you think? keep it royals, and stay on topic please.

the rotation has done fairly well the last couple of weeks...except for brian bannister. is this a slump, or should we cut him lose?
