Of course. Not only was he the best basketball player ever, he was also the greatest athlete/sports figure ever.

When he was in the NBA, he was alone atleast 30% of the NBA.

He's also the reason Jazz/Sonics/Knicks/Magic/Pacers didn't win in the 90's. Any team could have been lethal in the Finals against any other team had MJ not stopped them.

I loved MJ. Back in the days there was no dispute as to who the best player in the world was. EVERYONE knew, even the haters. As much as they hated him, they all loved and respected his game, and that goes for the players too.

miss him? hmmm complex reactions. i respect the talent. i hated all the travels he got away with and the protection he got from the refs while Bird spent his career getting smooshed to the floor. I hate his part in the ascendency of the one on one isolation game in a team sport.

Still, he's a starter on my #1 team of all time. So.

I do miss jordan of 96-98 not neccessarily the wizards stint version, I do miss hakeem and barkley , but one good thing about their retirements is taht we can embrace the great careers they had, there will be a time when kobe and lebron and tmac will retire and well be able to reminse the same way wheras while they are still active it doesnt have that same nostalgia to it

I just miss the 80s and 90s basketball in general. IMO, that was when the game was at its best. I don't even want to go down of the list of players I miss, Jordan and Pippen being the most, but jeez:

Magic,Bird, Barkley, olajuwon, drexler, Dr. J., mullin, ewing, alonzo, james worth, dumars, lambeir, mark aguirre, moses malone, Dominique, reggie miller, mark price, brad daughterty, stockton, malone, jon starks, mitch ritchmond, larry johnson, mugsy bogues, manute bol, grant hill, kemp, spud Webb, payton, david robinson, glen rice, the list goes on and on of some great players or characters

No I don't miss MJ, there are so many other talented players in the league to make me forget about MJ. I hate it when ppl say the nba has not been good since MJ left. One player does not make the league good or bad. MJ is gone and never coming back, ppl need to accept. Besides there are two guys in the league now, Kobe and Lebron that are very close to being on MJ's level.

Tony Parker at 25 has 3 rings and 1 finals mvp thus it makes him better than Kobe.
