Would you still root for your team if they traded ALL their american players for similar value Foreigners?

Imagine your line up ends up looking something like

Starting 5: Calderon,Ginobili,Deng,Nowitzky,Gasol

First Bench: Ukic,Vujacic,Paulovic,Turiaff,Varejao

Third Rotation:Sergio Rodriguez,Giricek,Bellineli,Drobjnak,Elson

All that matters is if the team performs well, and I am thinking that team would

I would still root for the Heat if they had a 0-82 record. But if what you said happened, eww I'd be pissed and would not root for the entire NBA (I'd not jump bandwagon)

I would. I don't care who they traded for if they are succesful. I don't care if they traded for a bunch of aliens if they win games I'm cool. Actually I'll root for the Wiz even if they suck.

If they did good, I wouldn't care if they were a bunch of fetal monkeys.

Of course I'd root for them, a true fan would. I mean seeing your fave player get traded would suck but who are you more of a fan of, the name on the front or back? =/

Yeah i would. Players come and go, what nationality they are shouldn't matter at all.It only matters to people who are filled with ignorance.

Sure. Why not? I don't care about race. I just care about their production and how they help the team.

Anyways, that is a great line-up. Dirk is a former MVP. Gasol is an all-star. Calderon is going to be an all-star. Ginobli is a 3-time NBA champion and on and on.

If they traded all our American players at once...yea that'd be weird hehe. Otherwise no...I din't see any need to feel bad about no "Americans" being on my team.

As long as they're winning...otherwise...... ;)

If thats the team definintly! Thats a championship worthy team. Now if it were all low end foriegners no because i wouldn't want to waste the talent. Foreigners are just as good as Americans we just dont give them the credit!

Good Answer. My fav. foreign players: Ginboli, Parker, Dirk, Peja, Gasol, Turiaf

Well in fact waht surprises me is that still there has appeared no one saying No, Damm weaks no defense Foreigners etc, like it use to happens when Foreigners are a topic, or placing a franchise outside usa etc.

That is a myth. Gasol and Calderon are both very capable defenders. Ginobli is also a good defender as well as Deng, Vujacic, and Turiaff. This would be a championship contending team IMO.

Replace Nash with Rubio and definitely. Ha I'm not racist either, my team would still be my team, would just look
ALOT different.

sure. my 15-man foreigner roster:

PG-Steve Nash/Tony Parker/Jose Calderon
SG-Manu Ginobili/Hedo Turkoglu/Leandro Barbosa
SF-Luol Deng/Andrei Kirilenko/Andres Nocioni
PF-Dirk Nowitzki/Pau Gasol/Nene
C-Yao Ming/Mehmet Okur/Samuel Dalembert

really, if you said you'd give me that roster instead of the current Lakers roster, I wouldn't mind at all.

I'm a fan of the front of the jersey, not the back. So of course

Yes, I would certainly support the team. Support for a team shouldn't change because of trades or whatever. Being a fan is what it is . . .like marriage . . .for better or for worse.

I fail to understand why people would root for a horrible american team (i.e. Heat) but refuse to root for a good international team? "If they're not americans I won't root for them?" What is this, the 50's? Commies lurking in back alleys? Get any late night calls from McCarthy? I guess you can call it racism because there isn't a good word to describe it. Other than disappointing. You'd think we were beyond this.

I'm not gonna lie, I would be uncomfortable, just because americans/blacks, well mostly blacks make the game so much fun through their dunks and all. But if they were winning, I could care less.
