I'm interested in some responses regarding this.

I remember Magic Johnson said once before that role players do well at home, but the star players have to do well on the road when the playoffs come in order to carry the team.

With that in mind, here is a question that needs to be asked?

True or False, The Greatness of a Player is Determined by How they perform on the Road in the Playoffs?

Its an important factor, but its not the only thing that determines the greatness of a player.

Your stars have to raise their level of play on the road, Magic was right on that point. If you can't win on the road, you won't win a title.

Great examples of players that perform on the road: MJ, Magic, Bird, Shaq, Kobe, Duncan, Kareem, Hakeem, to a name a few.

Role players play better at home, but the stars have to carry their teams on the road.

I remember MJ being sick on the road and carrying his team to a decisive victory over Utah, the man was brilliant on the road.

Your greatness is defined by your play on the other team's court, your game must travel with you.

It should probably be rephrased, "Is the ability to play well on the road the difference between a good player and a great player?" in which case the answer is yes.

Like somebody has said earlier. It is a factor in the process of determining greatness, but not the whole entire thing. There isn't one single factor that determines greatness. It is everything as a whole put together.

Agreed. It definitely is an important factor but it's also the other things he does as a player off and on the court.
