Confidence is always nice, but you'll be wrong on Sunday. Dolphins, Raiders, and Rams will be fighting over the 1st pick again this year.

The Cards will probably win, but I think the Dolphins will make it closer than that.

Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt says Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie playing wide receiver is a "definite possibility" going forward.

DRC lined up wide on one snap in Arizona's opener. The team has one of the best receiver duos in the league and he won't be a big threat for playing time, but the rookie's ball skills and size may come in handy in red-zone packages.

the cardinals are a very good home team and are 2-0 in season openers in the new stadium. the atmosphere there is ridiculous. the ridiculousness multiplies because its the home opener. i dont see miami matching that intensity. let me put it this way..... i have a tradition to go to the cardinals home opener every year with my brothers and i live in pittsburgh. i didnt come this year because of the opponent and i went to see the cards play the niners 2yrs ago

I won't get cocky or confident.
But, I wanna break it down so Cards fans can get a better understanding of us. I know the Cards better because they were in our forum.

QB- Pennington- Seasoned Vet still learning system, decent.
RB- Ronnie, Ricky- If used the right way, they are a great duo, if not, they are bad
WR- Ginn, Camarillo, Hagan- Decent, Gotta use GInn the right way
TE- Fasano, Martin- Fasano is our best target, Martin has improved a lot
LT- Jake Long- #1 Pick that got beat twice last week.
LG- Smiley, underrated, great blocker
C- Satele, future probowler, watch out
RG- Ndukwe, Our RG is out for the year aqfter last week, Ikechuku Ndukwe is a great name
RT- Carey, very good blocker, but our Line got beat a lot last week

LDE- Langford, Rookie, but can put pressure on QB
DT- Feguson, Fergie is the fat guy that plugs up the middle
RDE- Holiday, vet that plays well and disciplined
ROLB- Roth, will pass rush a lot
ILB Crowder, Ayodele, great tackling abilities
LOLB- Porter, new system, will rush the QB, too
CB- Allen, Goodman, Got beat but OK, Decent cover guys
FS- Crocker, OK, nothing special Allen should start
SS- Bell, Mad Potential, great ball skills

K- Carpenter- Rookie that did well in TC and pre-season, good kickoffs
P- Fields, Read above, second year guy, bad Jets game
KR- Bess, Ginn, Better Returners than average
PR- Ginn, Bess, Read Above

those are all average and below average players. what i respect about the dolphins is that they admit theyre rebuilding. many times in the nfl teams think theyre fooling us when theyre having bad seasons. the dolphins seem to have said hey were gonna be in the dumps for a couple years and after that were gonna have a strong shot at a super bowl. the phins are better than last year but still arent great. theyve got a couple years

ouch, rather ignorant choice of words IMO. J Ferg at NT is easily top 5 in the league and it was constantly said during last weeks game by unbiased announcers.
Ronnie brown is an average player? If he hadn't gotten hurt last year he most likely would have led the league in all purpose yards.
Satele is projected to be a future probowler.
and no matter how old Porter gets he's no average player, we put him back at the position he's used to playing and he already has a sack against a very good Jets oline.

Yes we're rebuilding and we're probably going to add a couple playmakers through the draft and offseason, but that doesnt mean we're throwing this season away.

Star players does not = team :)

Boys and girls this is the NFL and any team can win on any given sunday

Yes on paper the cards are better and yes the dolphins have a history lately of being a poor team but the cards also have a history of not keeping up with their hype on the field.

Like red said i think a 14 point spread is out of the question. If the cards win it will be a close game and hey it was "supposed" to happen. But if the dolphins win i wouldn't be surprised because this is a better team in the past 3 years then we've had.

No way Dolphins win. Cards are a very solid team on both sides of the ball. I just see the cards secondary harassing Pennington all day. Warner is better so is James. Our WR are way better. 35-14 Arizona WINS

Cardinals NT Gabe Watson (knee) is not expected to play in Week 2.

Alan Branch (knee, probable) is back, but the Cards remain at a loss without their best interior run plugger. Frank Gore averaged 6.9 yards a carry with a TD while Watson was sidelined in Week 1. Arizona hosts Miami this week.

It wasn't about comparing stars, it was the fact our team was called talentless compared to an overhyped team that bases its chances on winning on a pair of stud WR's.

the dolphins have a couple pieces in place with a player or two to build around on both lines. i shouldnt have said they are all average and below average because every nfl team has at least one or two stars. ronnie brown was easily and by the best fantasy rb in my league when he went down and he was a monster. im a fan of his. that was last year and he got hurt. now hes a backup to ricky williams. any one in that situation is average at best until he proves something or actually gets 100% healthy

they are ur only two stars on offense, how is that naive? Edge is passed his prime and had a good game against the niners, big deal. Warner is over the hill, with time he can make nice throws, but the pocket is going to collapse around him. Ur oline is very suspect. So beyond Fitz and Boldin there isn't really anyone that scares me offensively. Any other WR that has a good day against us is only because our secondary is weak and we're going to be focusing on covering Fitz and Boldin. It's nice to be confident in your team, but atleast remain realistic, don't turn into seahawk fans.

you basically dropped the "you play ball like a girl" comment with "don't turn into seahawk fans" haha... edge isnt a threat to get 1,500yrds but hes still good for 1,200 thats very efficiant. warner when he came in for leinart threw more td passes than any other qb in the league from then on to the end of the season. that means he had more than tom brady and peyton manning. that doesnt scare you? thats why im confidant and optimistic. its not me being a niave idiot that just screams "GO Cards!! Dolphins Suck!!" im not "that guy". i have reason to be optimistic for more than 2 great WR on offense.
