What will be the next NBA Franchise?

Las Vegas, Nevada: Stern wants one there badly! http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/02/16/AR2006021602538.html

Baltimore, Maryland:They're building a new stadium. http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977128158

Seatle, Washington: Seatle still has the name, logos, and the brand new arena. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/sonics/2008031378_soniside03.html

Mexico City, Mexico: Expanding NBA into NABA(North American Basketball Association) with USA, Canada and now Mexico?

Beijing, China: Lots of great chinese players and NBa is big there. USA team made big impact in olympics plus many NBA players have following there, Arenas, Deng, Kobe, LeBron.

Berlin, Germany: Good German players. We could use a home base in Euro district!

London, England: They've been lobbying for a franchise for awhile, and lots of good players are coming here just to play.

Tokyo, Japan: Big sports city. Have been claiming exhibition games.

Conneticut: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/wnba/sun/2006-07-17-munick_x.htm They got a WNBA why not a mens team!

Des Moines, Iowa: Iowa needs a franchise to compete with Milwaukee and Chicago!

Kansas City, Kansas: http://nbainkc.blogspot.com/2007/08/aeg-says-viva-las-vegas.html Good Midwest base of operations!

St. Louis, Missouri: Got an Arena, big football and Baseball city why not ad a basketball to compete in the East!

Lastely why not Reduce the teams into one USA team and start an IBA (International Basketball Association) gather like 40-50 teams one-three per country depending on size and population. Have founders like USA, CHina, Germany, Japan, England, etc.

Seattle.

The departure of the Sonics left a bitter taste in the mouth of that city and they will fight to get a team back.

Las Vegas would be intriguing, but a lot of other leagues (NFL, MLB) have hesitated putting teams there because of the distractions for players, not to mention, Las Vegas is heavily tourist driven and there is more to do for tourist than go see a sports game, especially if they are on business or on vacation, that it would be hard to fill seats (especially with the locals). It could work, but the NBA and whoever decides to own the team is going to sink a lot of money into that franchise right away.

Fair enough I guess, but answer me this. Why does San Francisco deserve a team and Seattle not?

Sorry i forgot San Fransisco and i had Spain in mind i must've just forgot before i submited. I was just looking for ones i've already heard rumers and news stories about.

I think its real safe to say though that if there is an expansion it wont be one team because why would we want a 3 team uneven league. We'd deffinently would want 2. I can see it as like us getting Las Vegas and Seatle both being in the west then Memphis moving into the Eastern Conference(memphis is more eastern then Chicago, Milwaukee, Indiana already! That way its 16 teams per conference so half the teams per conference make the playoffs. Then the worst 16 make up the lottery.
