POLL IS NOW CLOSED. I WILL END THIS POLL EARLY AS AL JEFFERSON IS THE EASY WINNER...

Hey everyone, we will be continuing the series to find a true top 10 list at each position. We are on onto the CENTERS... Howard took the top spot easily and Ming will follow at 2. We will continue at number 3.

Like I said before, I will add more players to the list as soon as we put another guy on the top 10 list.

PS: Please do not start any threads with the same title. I am capable of conducting the polls and completing the series of threads to find the top 10 players at each position. If I need some help I will ask for it. Thanks for your time.

An updated list of the polls we have completed can be found here..

Out of this list I would have to say Al Jefferson. Even though I view him as a PF who is forced to play center but if you could average those numbers your good enough to be a center I guess.

I say Tyson. He is a true center. Jefferson is a power forward playing out of position. If we are going to put power forwards who played center this past year, I say Amare is number 3 and Gasol is number 4

Yea I know, I dont understand how he could have Pau as a 4 when he played C all year, same thing with Rasheed. More research or a defined restrictions shouldve been put on these polls.

Chandler for me. Jefferson will win this one based purely on his stats but he reallyis the only quality player on his team and IMO should be having much better stats to earn 3rd spot on the top centers list.

just a random note, shouldn't Chris Kaman at least make the poll....

to anyone who says Jefferson is a PF. No, he played center last year, and went for 21-11. Would he be better at PF? Yes. But he is a center. Get over it.

as far as im am concerned jefferson is not a centre and gets dominated by the size/strength of real centres
he is def a good pf and could be a great C if he adds a lot of weight/muscle

I have to go with Shaq Diesel.

I don't think anyone who gets 21-11 is getting dominated. The Wolves were, and have been victimized by guards forever. Jefferson won around 70/82 of his matchups I would guess.

jefferson is not a center so i'll go with Bynum with Jermaine a close second.

If Bynum is up there so should be Kaman and Dalembert....they both had better seasons than him last year....

Dalembert averaged 11 and 10 while shooting 51%. Bynum averaged 13 and 10 while shooting 64%. Although Dalembert did have a better year in regards to the fact that he actually played the entire season. Bynum needs to work on that part of his game :)

Why did I think Sammy D had a better season than that?? For some reason I thought he had 14 or 15PPG....my bad.

Hes a PF masquerading as a center, thats our point. If your going to go by what position a certain player played, then we ask that they be consistent. Why was Sheed and Pau listed as PF's, when they played C all year?

Also Al put up great numbers as a C but being paired with smaller PF's hurt him defensively, he needs a natural center alongside him. Of all the players in the league hes the one whos least closest to his statistical worth.

Andrew Bynum is gonna end up being voted like 4 or 5 and thats ridiculous. He shouldnt even be on the poll. Most of these guys have put together several seasons of very good basketball and until Bynum plays more than half a season of good ball he shouldnt be compared to the others.

BlondeBomber41

Gasol, he played Center all last year

Well if we are going by those rules, than Amare should be on the list because he played most of last year at center.

And even if Amare was off this list and Gasol was on it, Gasol still isnt as good as Al Jefferson.

Its ridiculous, how Andrew Bynum is getting a lot more votes, than some of the centers who are above him.

Bynum is not proven at ALL!

And I still consider Jefferson a PF.

Dude, youre such a homer.

Anything that has to do with the Kings, you always choose them.

Like I was reading a poll that said: If you had to start your team with one of these players, who would you choose? Or something like that.

And they had like Duncan, KG, Malone, Weber...etc.

And you chose Weber.

Smh.

He's not the only one though. Lakers fans do the same thing with Bynum and Gasol. Suns fans do it with Amare. Don't get me started on Philly or Toronto. After all, fan is short for fanatic.

I'll Have To Say Andrew Bynum, because He's The Only True Center In That List That Will Become A Total Beast,al Jefferson Is A True Pf In The Nba Not A Center.andrew Bynum Is Versatile ,can Block Shots Rebound And Can Score, verry Versatile.
And No Im Not A Lakers Fan,just Seen This Dude Play And He Can Really Play Mad Ball...!

please dude. I would rather have a guy masquerading at a position, and get 21-11, than a guy getting 12-10 at his TRUE position. And your last statement is ridiculous. You either get numbers, or you don't.
