Monta Ellis, according to multiple league sources that spoke with Marc Stein, had several cuts and abrasions on his leg, which is atypical of an injury sustained on a basketball court, in addition to the high ankle sprain and torn deltoid ligament he suffered on Aug. 21.

Ellis has not spoken publicly since his injury was revealed Wednesday and his agent, Jeff Fried, declined comment when reached by ESPN.com.

Two sports medicine experts consulted by ESPN.com, granted anonymity because they aren't privy to the specifics of Ellis' condition, said that a torn deltoid ligament is rarely seen in basketball.
That sure as hell doesn't sound like a practice injury or even a pickup game as was rumored earlier this week. Looks like we have a new Vlad Rad before our eyes...

if you're implying that monta went out and started pulling dangerous stunts, I don't think so.

it sounds like a bicycle injury. torn deltoid ligament, sprained ankle, abrasions, cuts, bruises. I may be wrong, but it sounds very much like a bicycle accident. he probably wanted to act cool like Baron Davis and Steve Nash, and ended up falling.

the warriors arent going to do anything about it. we still need him. its not like we are going to void his contract. **** happens! he was playing ball we all know that. all they can do now is just make sure he is 100% when he comes back it sucks for us but not the end of the world.

I'm guessing he fell off a motorcycle, not a bicycle. I read somewhere that his contract specifically forbids him from riding motorcycles. Sorry I don't have the link.

They don't have to void his contract to punish him. They could fine him. In fact, they could fine him for every game he misses, in the amount of his salary. So that'd be what, 30% of his earnings? Sounds fair to me.

he fell of his truck i think, and his ankle got jammed in something. oh yea while doing a carwash too.

LOL. no idea, but if he did do something out of his contract to get hurt then as a Warrior Fan I would agree that he would deserve punishment.

How about this? He was urinating in public, down in Boise Idaho, got spotted by the cops and took off running. While jumping a fence, a big-*** dog grabbed his leg and started pulling.
