I think Rudy Gay has a chance. He's been improving each year since he's been in the league. I think he is going to have a real breakout season, even though last year was very impressive. I'm looking at stats around 22 ppg and 7-8 rpg. I also think Crawford has an honest shot this year. Think about it, he averaged 20 ppg last year in a half uptempo, half slowed down game. It's only going to get better this year because it's going to be run and gun and he will be able to take more threes, or shots in general this year. Deron Williams also definitily deserves an all star spot. He averaged a double double last year. I think he was jipped last year.

Rudy Gay has a chance, but my money is on Kevin Durant making it in 08-09.

1. Deron Williams - should have made the All-Star team last year.

2. Al Horford - I have this weird feeling that Al Horford is going to do REALLY good this year and make the All-Star team at C. Maybe something like 15 PPG 11 RPG 2 BPG.

3. Luol Deng - Last year Luol Den, g was injured with a lingering leg injury, and even with this injuryhe still averaged 17 ppg 6 rpg 1 spg 1 bpg in a slower pace offense. This year, with VDN as our(Bulls) new coach, he will also get more oppourtunities due to the fact of VDN probably running a faster pace offense. Also we drafted Derrick Rose who will give Luol Deng more oppourtunities when Derrick Rose penetrates and kicks it out. Lastly, Ben Gordon might not come back thus making Luol Deng the number 1 option on the Bulls this year.

i think luol deng has a chance. He should be seeing the ball a lot with the addition of playmaking pg rose.

i say danny granger might make the all-star is the coner stone of the pacers, and along side with rudy gay has improved alot, kevin durant is another player who might make the all-star...but one player that really is making his first all-star by next season is defnitly without a doubt Deron Williams...permanently deserves a spot in the all-star roster.

I think KD Kevin Durant is going to be the player considered an all star ahead of his peers , it will be tough for him in the west with the talent but as some of the stars begin to age i think him along side Gay and D Williams will join Paul as all stars of the future, about ODEN lets see him play a couple games as an NBA player b4 and predictions

This is a list of players from each position I think have a chance of making the all-star game for the first time. Remember, these are all new all-star possibilities, and aren't necessarily realistic choices.

PG:
1. Derron Williams
2. Jose Calderon
3. T.J. Ford
SG:
1. Kevin Martin
2. Kevin Durant (as a twig, this is his position, despite his height)
3. Jason Richardson
SF:
1. Josh Smith
2. Gerald Wallace
3. Hedo Turkoglu
PF:
1. Al Jefferson
2. LaMarcus Aldridge
3. Jason Maxiell
C:
1. Marcus Camby (most all-star deserving player currently in the NBA)
2. Al Horford
3. Tyson Chandler

In a list i think this players will make the all-star team from 1-5,this are the most posibilities that would make the roster.

East:
A.Iguadola
G.Wallace -deserves a spot
D.Granger -58.9% he might make it
A.Horford -maybe in two years too many players(hawks) who want touches

West:
D.williams
M.Ellis -reguarding how his injury goes
Kevin Martin -defenitly has improved alot deserves spot in all-star
A.Bynum -if it wasn't for his injury he be an all-star 09
A.jefferson -
R.Gay
K.Durant

Possibilities: jason richardson,devin harris,mo williams,micheal beasley (40%
),loul deng,O.Mayo(45%),J.Crawford,

EC - JOSE CALDERON if he continues to improve he'll get some major considerations
T.J FORD finally has his own team that he can run, will see if he can perform like the way he did in his Texas Longhorns days
DANNY GRANGER ford will make it deadlier
RICHARD JEFFERSON he's been getting snobbed every year deserves to be an all star

WC - D-WILL shouldve been on the team last year
MONTA ELLIS #1 guy to watch this year
KEVIN DURANT guy is insane if he can manipulate his rookie season and better if he doesnt fall into the "sophomore slump"
KEVIN MARTIN dude can score when healthy
AL JEFFERSON soon to be a monster

1. Deron Williams: Obvious choice, the guy puts up 20 and 10 on a winning team, surprised he hasn't made the All-Star Team already.

2. Al Jefferson: Solid, young big man, probably hasn't made it due to his teams' lack of success. If that improves, he will definetly be an All-Star.

3. Jose Calderon: Good PG that always had to battle for PT with TJ Ford. Now that he is out of the way, look for him to make big strides on a playoff team.

4. Danny Granger: Another good young player, who's chances have been hurt due to there lack of his teams' success. If that improves, no doubt he will make the All-Star team.

5. Josh Smith: Athletic freak, can jump out of the building, apparent in the dunk contest a couple years back. Puts up solid numbers on a potential playoff team, although he doesn't recieve much of the spotlight behind Joe Johnson.

deron willliams but honestly, it doesnt matter unless ur voted in. granted its a fan fav thing but thats the point of the game. let fans watch who they wanna see, not a team and sum bobo's that played well for a season or who is hot 1 time. generally speaking to be voted in means you've have sucess for years. cp3 wasnt even in the top votes. but he will be next year because ppl care about watchin him now. so if u havent earned it for at least a year, and arent good enough to make it by votes, i dnt see u as being an all star i see u as being a commitee decision

Why Do You Guys Think Bynum Wont Make It,if Duncan And Robinson Both Made The All-star Then Bynun And Gasol Have No Prblem We Seen It Befor 4 Players From One Team Making The All-star Detroit!..sheed,nillups,rip,big Ben...why Could That Not Happen To The Lakers You Never Know....if Lakers Get 1st Seed B4 The All-star Game Defenitly Theres Going Be 3 Players In Lakers To Be In The All-star Game....kobe,pau, - Bynum Or Odom...one Of Those Two Will Make It..! knicks1214
09-03-2008, 03:11 PM
Because as long as Bynum is the 4th option on the Lakers, he won't have huge numbers. He will still consistantly put up around 13, 10, and 2 but those aren't all star numbers. Bynum is not a top 5 center in the league yet...I think in a few years he will be, but not yet. Danny, your arguement is completely flawed...it's a little different when you have like 4 20 point scorers, or 2 20 and 10 guys as in the case with Robinson and Duncan. Odom will also never make the all star game in the west...it's too deep. I'm a Lakers fan and I know this...time for you to learn it...people like you who think that Bynum deserves it with numbers like 13, 10, and 2 give a bad name to Lakers fans...in 3-4 years or when Pau starts to decline or leaves the Lakers is when Bynum will become an all star.

$ NyC $
09-03-2008, 03:28 PM
exactly...Robinson and Duncan were options #1 + #2...and both rebounded and blocked amazingly...so points weren't all that mattered...the Lakers got Kobe, then Gasol, then Odom, then Bynum..or you can say Odom and Bynum are equal...when Bynum slowly becomes that main option..than he will be an all-star..he got the talent...

The Wolves will be that much better than last year? What's the big difference?

they finished 17-26 in their last 43. That equates to 32 wins (same as with KG the year prior fyi). So let's use that as their base from last year, since a bunch of kids that never played with each other aren't expected to mesh quickly. They are, at worst, and 33 win team this year. Jefferson would have made it last year, if the Wolves didn't start 5-34. He had the stats. He just had and injured Foye, and kids that have never started a game around him. They will be vastly improved. And a 23-12 season is an easy guess for Jefferson. How is that not an all star??

team record plays a part, so the Wolves would have to be hovering in the .450 mark, which I think they will do, and Big Al is in. Deron is in. No matter what. He was awesome last year, and was a gold medal winner with big minutes on our team. Boozer needs a big season to make it. I think Jefferson is in.

If he stays healthy I think he'll put up 16ppg.

I don't think so. He put up 13 ppg last year when Gasol hadn't arrived yet. Now w/ the appearance of Gasol who is a big scorer Bynum won't get as many balls as last season. Based on 35 games last season people already considered him an all-star? That's crazy. I even doubt that he will be back to that form after the injury

wat about jr smith? wat do you all think?

If Bynum makes the all star team over Al Jefferson, I will never watch another all star game in my life. Big Al gets the stats that Laker fans are praying Bynum can someday get. And the Wolves will be respectable enough that the record argument won't play in. Seriously. Would anyone take Bynum over Jefferson for the upcoming season? If you say yes, you are a Laker fan, and totally biased

There you go, exactly. But seriously though, Deron Williams deserves it. Who was the West's starting PG last year? Oh yeah, A.I., who shouldn't be aloud to play that position in the All-Star Game. Also, and yeah it's a homer pick, and yeah it's obvious I'm about to say it, but Kevin Martin. With Artest gone he could be as good as the 2nd leading scorer in the league, probably behind LeBron.

I had already stated that Deron should make it. For sure. But AI is point eligible, so he always get the votes. Fans like flashy, and his crossovers, etc. make it. Look at Vince Carter. How on earth is he so high in the voting every year? His dunks from 8 years ago, that is why. But all aside, my point remains. If Jefferson doesn't make an all star team before Bynum, I am done paying attention to that weekend.

they finished 17-26 in their last 43.

Oh no don't get me confused, I'm a big Al J fan and also believe that he'll be an all star, I just didn't see where the huge jump in wins was coming from. I thought you were expecting a 40+ win record in the West

Not with CP3, Nash, Deron, J-Kidd, T.Parker all in his conference.. Try again

Rondo could easily make it before Fisher.

I think the Wolves, and their fans, would be very happy with 33-35 wins. I mean, in all reality, they could win 40 games. But the variables that need to happen for that to be a reality are about 1/10, so I will take that 34 wins.

Baron Davis deserved it last year (over Brandon Roy in my opinion, not to say Roy wasn't deserving). But he'll make it this year FOR SURE!!

Kevin Martin
Chris Kaman
Andrew Bynum
Iggy
Josh Smith
Maggette
Ellis
Deron Williams

..........also there are pretty much no good C's in the Eastern Conference outside of D-Howard so there will probably be someone random like Samuel Dalembert or something
